Mercure Kyoto Station

Very enjoyable stay. My husband and I stayed in a privilege room which was on higher floor. Room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. About 10 minutes walk to train station and we really enjoyed their breakfast. Would be back next time in Kyoto.

Great hotel, extremely friendly staff, and incredible location. The bathroom was also very large and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place near Kyoto Station (7min walk)

Rooms amazing - brand new, plenty of space and just nice having a larger modern bathroom that is not plastic!

Location about 10min walk from station, tucked in residential area which is nice. Easy walking to a couple of shopping Centres, loads of dining options, and a short taxi to another area with loads of dinning options.

The hotel is very well managed and clean as for all Mercure Hotels in Japan. Check in was quick and hassle free. Received welcome drinks and after tea vouchers.. The hotel was fully booked for the Sakura season. There are a few good restaurants very near the hotel, one is the Teppanyaki just next door. The reception was very obliging in booking the restaurants and even one outside Kyoto. Thank you.

My four-night stay at Mercure Kyoto Station Hotel was truly memorable. Despite being a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, the hotel’s location was convenient for exploring the city. The room was immaculate and provided a comfortable retreat each night. The staff’s exceptional service and the hotel’s amenities exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Mercure Kyoto Station Hotel for a wonderful stay. Five stars all the way!

Well designed hotel and a nearby walk to Kyoto Station. All the staff were amazing and eager to support. Surprised to meet one Filipino staff member as well and he was very cheerful and warm, he helped me with my check in and definitely felt my Accor Live status being acknowledged.

Good location, roughly 10 min walking from Kyoto station, there are also a few bus stops nearby. Good decent size room hotel with a good selection food for the breakfast.

1. Overall, staff was friendly and polite. The staff that smiled made me feel much more welcome.
2. Mercure Kyoto Station Hotel is one of the best interior designed hotels I have ever stayed.
3. I appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel. From bathroom, room, elevator, hallways, to lobby - everything appeared clean and nothing out of place.
4. Good location and neighborhood. Relatively close to train station. Neighborhood was clean.
5. I know all of the luggage in the lobby was unavoidable.

Spotlessly clean and in a great spot for Kyoto Station once you know your way. The hotel main entrance is not on the main road, it runs parallel down the back lane. Their restaurant is on the main road. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the station. The room was big for Japan and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast could have done with a little more variety and include more fresh fruit but overall the experience was excellent.
My husband recommends the barber a few doors down from the main entrance in the back lane. He would fly back from Australia for the experience!

Loved my stay here. The location is a great central spot to find your way around Kyoto close to the station. The room had a luxurious feel to it. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and contemporary. I also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast- its worth a try! The staff are very friendly and willing to help. There is a laundromat within walking distance need you require it (not in hotel).

The hotel manager Miyaki here went above and beyond for us. I have stayed at hotels all over the world and no one has ever helped me like him. He came to fix things in the middle of the night, he offered us help when we needed it with extending a night.

People should come to this hotel to experience the excellent service of this manager if nothing else!

Fairly new hotel with modern design. Rooms were clean and spacious for Japanese standards l. Location is great, about 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station.

Service was really good. Left some stuff inside the room only to realize after we check out and we were able to find our stuff as it was kept at the reception. Late check out was provided. Very happy with our stay. Will be back whenever we are back.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mercure Kyoto. Organised luggage transfer for us. Great room service - rooms are big and crisp furnishings. Enjoyable breakfast.

Great location close by the station. The room was tidy and nice. However, there were 1-2 staff at lobby so it took some time to wait for service

The hotel's prime location near Kyoto Station was incredibly convenient for exploring the city and accessing various transportation options.

The hotel personnel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout my stay.

The room I stayed in was comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere after a long day of sightseeing. The amenities were well-appointed, and the bed was delightfully plush. However, I was a bit disappointed that the windows were blurred, preventing me from enjoying any outside views. While this may have been intended for privacy reasons, it would have been nice to have the option to see the cityscape from the comfort of my room.

One aspect that stood out to me was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel. The variety of options and quality of the food were excellent. However, it's worth noting that the breakfast service closes promptly at 10 a.m., and guests are required to arrive before 9:30 a.m. This policy felt somewhat strict, especially for those who prefer a more relaxed morning routine. It would be beneficial if the breakfast hours were slightly more flexible to accommodate different schedules.

Despite these minor hiccups, I still highly recommend the Mercure Kyoto Station Hotel for its excellent location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations. The hotel provides a convenient base for exploring Kyoto, and the genuine hospitality of the staff truly leaves a positive impression. I would certainly consider staying here again during future visits to this remarkable city.

Location was great, easy transportation to all the shrines and destinations we were looking for. Ubers to this location were cheap as well. The staff was very friendly and great. It was easily located from the Kyoto train station so traveling with our luggage was easier that we imagined, you just have to go the correct exit.

A bit of a walk from Kyoto station, but superb service and great atmosphere in the hotel. Close to most bus lines to get to shrines and restaurants:neighborhoods, and aesthetically very pleasing!! It’d be perfect if it was the slightly bit closer to Kyoto station - I had a large bag and that was a bit of a walk!

Great stay at Mercure Kyoto Station, walking distance to the train station meant we had the ease of travelling around Kyoto. The room was large and comfortable and staff were friendly.

Excellent location, in a very short walking distance from Kyoto central station and several bus stops. Plenty of restaurants, Cafés, and convenience stores nearby.
Overall friendly staff, with an exception. The breakfast option is a tad too expensive, but overall we are extremely satisfied and hope to be able to go back to this splendid city one day. 😊

Nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location--less than a quarter mile walking distance to Kyoto station and tower. Great breakfast. Rooms are modernly designed with comfortable beds and an amazing shower! Rooms are equipped with shower amenities, as well as toothbrush and razor kits, small refrigerator, kettle, and a few coffee/tea/sugar/cream packets. Loved the heated seat on our bidet. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would definitely come back!
