Umniah - Queen Alia International Airport

Great experience. They have transparent prices and show you all available packages - not like the other providers who try to sell you the most expensive package and only tell you about cheaper ones if you hesitate. The packages are also the cheapest and the best value among all three providers. The staff war really kind and helpful and asked about my plans in Jordan before recommending a plan - not like the other providers who head straight to the most expensive one. Got the Sim card in under 5 minutes, everything works, would buy again there. Highly recommended!

We arrived at 11pm and they were open and super helpful with setting up and installing our sim for Jordan, we paid about £12 for a 10 day tourist sim with 30GB data with some minutes and texts included too and which we could top-up with more data (only £1.20 for 10GB a day) when we ran out. Such good value! Having the sim meant we could use Uber in Amman and Madaba which was so cheap and easy and also meant we could use Maps and translate, 100% worth the money!

Very friendly staff and great service. I happened to come across a promotion, spent only 10 JOD to get a SIM card for over 10GB of data plus some calling min and messages. Overall very good experience as a backpacker on the road.

We paid 10JD for package with 100 minutes of calling, 100 SMS, but most importantly with 30GB of data. Everything was working well as expected. We even got addition 2GB of data. I recommend to translate all SMSs that you receive from Umniah. First, I thought that we were scammed because I received SMS saying: "You only have 50% left of your data package - 1000MB remaning." But it was 50% from the additional 2GB package, so we were absolutely fine.

We took the Umniah Tourist Package with 10GB and calling for 16,12 JOD, and were very satisfied. We read that Zain network is supposedly better, but we had no problem at all with Umniah. And the package of Umniah is cheaper than Zain, which offer only very big packages. Note that none of the networks should work in Wadi Rum, or inside Petra park.

Very nice people. They helped us with the phone and with the rent car. The price of the SIM card is the best in the airport.

Il banco di Umniah si trova subito dopo il ritiro bagagli al terminal arrivi, giusto prima di uscire dall'aeroporto. Al nostro arrivo verso le 23, era l'unico operatore in cui non c'era gente, mentre presso Orange e Zain c'era abbastanza fila. Questa cosa ci ha insospettito, ma abbiamo voluto comunque dare un'occhiata alle loro offerte, e devo dire che alla fine siamo andati piuttosto bene.

Le offerte degli altri due operatori erano più ampie in termini di giga e minuti, ma erano anche molto più costose. Noi eravamo in 2 e ci bastava l'offerta proposta da Umniah.

Per soli 10 JOD l'offerta comprendeva 30 Gb in 4g, 100 minuti di chiamate nazionali, 100 sms e 20 minuti di chiamate internazionali, anche verso l'Italia.

L'addetto la banco è stato molto gentile, spiegandoci bene l'offerta e facendoci anche il cambio sim. La scheda era attiva da subito ed abbiamo potuto accedere immediatamente ad internet, collegando anche un secondo telefono in hotspot.

E' possibile pagare la sim anche con le carte di debito o credito.
Per quanto riguarda la copertura invece , abbiamo avuto quasi sempre rete internet in 4g (a parte nel Wadi Rum), quindi direi che questo operatore è super consigliato per il vostro viaggio in Giordania.

Unica pecca sono le chiamate via whatsapp, che sono interdette, anche se penso che non sia un problema di questo operatore, ma più di georestrizioni in generale. Per aggirare il problema scaricatevi un app per modificare il vostro VPN, così potrete finalmente chiamare anche con whatsapp.

Ottima offerta per chi viaggia in Giordania per meno di 10 giorni. Personale gentile e disponibile, mi hanno anche cambiato la SIM nel telefono.
