Black Iris Hotel

I was part of a group that stayed here on our way to Palestine and it was PERFECT. The location was walkable to everywhere, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff . . . they were awesome! I would have no problem suggested them for the future and if ever find myself back in Jordan, I know where I am staying!

This a great 2 star hotel close to the centre of Madaba. Rooms were clean, modern and of a reasonable size with air con and they have a restaurant which can serve alcoholic drinks. Staff really friendly and helpful and we would stay here again.

Top class all round, friendly staff, clean and attentive, breakfast is great, and the dinner buffet on request for late arrival was amazing.

Our absolute favourite in entire Jordan! We stayed in many hotels during our 9 days travel in the country and all in all were satisfied and found the staff of hotels (and in general the hospitality of Jordanians) nice. However, this hotel went beyond especially when it comes to the attitude of the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Everybody was in a good mood all the time and it has a good influence on everything. Room was very clean, breakfast was decent and the city can be explored on foot. I recommend Madaba and if you come to the city, I doubt that you will find a better place to stay 😊 they have a nice and calm lobby, where we could stay and relax before our late night plane. It is 25-30 mins by car from the airport.

Best place to stay, it's in the city centre.
Clean room, bathroom, clean hotel, nice and helpful receptionist.
Parking on closed place next to the building.
Good price.

We did the reservation last minute but still they make us feel comfortable and very welcoming. The room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast tasty with traditional cuisine. The location of the hotel is close to the center. The staff is very friendly and made us feel like home. Especially Safa‘a at the reception, she prepared everything we needed to have a pleasant stay, and we enjoyed the conversation. We liked it that much that we booked one more night there, than to somewhere else. Higly recommended.

I found myself very well. the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. I would go back right away. the hotel in my opinion is highly recommended.

Our part of 5 were so happy to stay here. So clean. So friendly. Yummy food - loved the breakfast. Hot water on demand. Nice parking area. Pretty roof top sitting area. Soooo happy we found you.

Had a great stay here for 2 nights while visiting Madaba. The hotel is in a great location - within walking distance to all the main sights and delicious street food. They have a lovely patio as well. The front desk staff are wonderful - all smiles and welcoming and very helpful. They called Wadi Mujib for us so we could confirm they were open before we drove all the way. Breakfast is included and is absolutely delicious. There's also tea, coffee and water available in the common areas at all times. The hotel itself it a little dated but otherwise very clean and comfortable. The wifi can be spotty if there are a lot of people staying at the hotel in which case it works better in the common spaces. Overall highly recommended staying here!

Super friendly and lovely hotel owner who welcomed us very warm. Very clean, great breakfast, located in the city center-perfect for a day tour in Madaba. The price is very good for the service.

Safa & Jamal will give you a warm welcome with a big smile when you enter the hotel. They are such lovely people and do everthing to make you feel at home ( and laugh!!! We had so much fun) Also the other people working in the hotel, everybody is so kind. The food is delicious, the rooms are big and clean, and after a day in Madaba you will find the perfect garden to have a drink and relax.

I highly recommend this place, as much for its great prices as for its warm, kind and helpful staff. The breakfast is easily the best we had among the several hotels we’ve been to and rooms are very comfy. We even went back there to end our trip in Jordan. It was always great to have a chat with the personal at the reception, very friendly, welcoming and always giving us great advice.

Once of the cleanest and nicest affordable hotel in Jordan. It was a great experience staying there overnight before going to the airport. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

No complaint. Family-owned. I had an interesting conversation with the owner. Price was unbeatable. 2 nights for 49 JD indulging taxes. Free breakfast. They offer a house-cooked dinner for 10 j d. Hotel has a roof terrace with a nice view. It's very close to Ma'daba archeological sites. Walking distance. People here are friendlier than Amman. Staff are all very friendly. Very helpful, and always smiling.
