Fried items are definitely comfort food and uses clean oil.
Pasta are well made and flavorful.
Service staffs are friendly as well

A friendly, affordable, and delicious trattoria! The staff is wonderful and the food is excellent. The menu changes occasionally which allows for pleasant variety if you come regularly. Lucchese and Tuscan delicacies on offer.

For those concerned about summer heat, they have air-conditioned indoor seating. The outdoor seating is lovely as well. The restaurant is great for those with children as they have toys and entertainment on hand to keep the kids occupied.

Loved it here. It had a home feel. Food was tasty, delicious. Their homemade cakes are also great. It has a cozy feeling. Staff seems like family, really friendly and open. Service was fast. Toilets were clean. I would definitely eat there again.

Leo's is a step into traditional Tuscan food. Hard to find an excellent classic meal, no modern twist, no drizzled sauces. I have been coming here for probably almost 40 years. Come here and eat like a Lucchese Faro soup, pastas. and steaks are all excellent.

Great place. Had to go there twice during our weekend-stay in Lucca. Fast and efficient service. Good prices.

we stopped here by accident and didn't regret it. Food,wine, and dessert were all unbelievable it,at da Leo, you can taste real taste of toscana.We ordered rosted veal,pork sausage,salad,wine from Montecarlo,tiramisu ,grappa.All was great.

Delicious - underpriced (I know sounds crazy, this was our cheapest meal in our 2 week trip and it surpassed a ton of other pricier Restos). Amazing service!

This is a non touristy, traditional trattoria located in the heart of Lucca. What this means is that it has none of the frills, a lot less of the cost and all of the flavour that you could hope for. Service is friendly, efficient and good but the waitresses really work hard trying to get around all of the tables. The food was excellent. My wife and I both agreed that this was one of the best meals we had in our holidays. The bill was noticeably cheaper than some of the other restaurants we visited. Highly recommended.

I felt like I was at my grandma’s house for lunch! Excellent home style cooking, very friendly and super attentive service.Everyone made us feel as if we were family. I’d come back to Lucca specially to visit this place again.

Trattoria da Leo is a true gem within a gem (Lucca) itself- undoubtedly authentic, buoyant and magical, feels like a in a stylish movie, standup and rock concerts at once. Its lovely, loud and time stops there.

Our Florence Italian language school teacher brought us here during an outing to Lucca. Not sure if by chance but I assume not. The staff accommodated the large group efficiently. The menu was regional and delicious. The price was fair.

Great restaurant away from centre. Excellent food at very reasonable prices compared to city centre venues. Full of locals, good service and nice atmosphere.

Really good, regional food. Simple place, simple setting. Not the right spot if you're in a rush. In the summer, the tables outside are shaded and in a breezy street. The asparagus risotto was perfectly cooked and rosticciana was incredibly tender. Also, much cheaper than many other places in the city center.

Had the Rosticcana di Arosto? Spare Ribs! The best I have ever had! Tasty and perfect texture.
