Aumm Aumm Ristorante Pizzeria

I am hesitant to write this review because I do not want to overhype this place, but I have eaten all over the world and this place is truly special.

DO NOT LET THE ENTRANCE FOOL YOU. There is a an idyllic covered patio in back lined with lemon trees, which is a lovely place to eat, and the food is nothing short of exquisite.

The pizza was fabulous, the pastas were unique and you can taste the nuance of every single fresh ingredient. The drinks are wine are top notch, and the owner Salvatore takes great pride in providing a special experience.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Do not get suckered into having lunch at the closer places to the taxi stop in Anacapri - do yourself a favor and visit this gem. You will not regret it!

The first time I had mussel soup it was 25 years ago at El Quim de la Boqueria in Barcelona. I fell in love instantly. Ever since then, I have been on the hunt for this amazing recipe. I've been to Brussels, Paris, and all over Italy. I had a zuppe di cozze that came close in Siracusa, Sicily. Then I came to Aumm Aumm... After eating mussels in Napoli, Sorrento and Capri for a week, the best of my life were found here in Anacapri on our last day. In addition, the pizza was the best we've had in the Bay of Naples as well. No joke. The icing on the cake was quite literally lemon cake with creme in the middle covered with lemon icing. This is no doubt the best kitchen in Capri serving up the highest quality traditional dishes at a fair price. Don't save this for the last day, head straight here, it is the benchmark.

After arriving to Anacapri, we asked our hotel which restaurants we should try in the city, and she recommended Aumm Aumm.
We went the first night and we were surprised by the food quality and the service. They were perfect. So we decided our second day in anacapri to come back and dine at this restaurant.
First day we tried the Paccheri alla Genovese and the Scialatielli allo Scoglio and it was perfect.
The second day we tried the parmigiana melanzane and we ordered again the Paccheri alla Genovese because it was awesome the first day.
We recommend this restaurant to every person visiting Anacapri.

My husband and I got a recommendation from a local to eat here, and we are so glad we did. The pasta dishes we ordered were incredibly fresh and delicious: one was a special with lobster; the other a local dish with anchovies. We were able to chat with Salvatore, the owner, who has an obvious devotion to both his restaurant and his customers. His friendliness and warmth made us feel welcome--like friends--and while he exuded such a humble and cheerful demeanor, we could also sense the pride he has in this beautiful establishment. We enjoyed the complementary house limoncello at the end of our meal, which was outstanding. We can't wait to eat here again whenever life takes us back to Capri!

Excellent low-key restaurant in Anacapri filled with local Italians. The pizza, pasta and rucola salad were amazing. And the homemade red wine was decent. We had 2 pizzas, salad, pasta, 1L red wine all for €86. Great deal. Though the front of the restaurant looks uninviting, the lemon-tree garden in the back where they served the food was very enjoyable and quaint.

By far the best restaurant in Capri - if you ever get the chance to eat in this restaurant, try these highlights: the homemade pasta with seafood and the dessert “delizia al limone”

As someone who loves trying out different restaurants, I can say that you really don't want to miss out on this one, when in Capri. The pizzas are amazing and the staff are awesome. 10/10 would eat here again!

This area of Capri hosts the best food on the island & this pizza joint was phenomenal. The garden area seating created a homey feeling alongside having outstanding pizza selections & tried a zucchini based parmesan which was bellisimo🙏🏽

One of the best places to eat on the island of Capri. Avoid the large crowds and head to Aumm Aumm in Anacapri. Amazing garden atmosphere with out of this world Italian food. One night we were there, they were playing a futbol match on the big screen for guests. Their pizza’s are out of this world; all have so much flavor and perfect soft and crunchy crusts. We did not order the arracini dish; but I wish we had because every other table did. All the workers were working so hard; no breaks just always there to help.

Excellent service with some of the best pizza we’ve had on our trip in Italy after being in Italy for 10 days. We loved our dinner and would definitely come back!

Fabio was so great! Pizza is incredible!!! And there is gluten free pizza that my friend enjoyed soooo much. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s one of the only places in Capri to get gluten free pizza and my friend was looking all over the island for some. So happy we came.

This place was outstanding. The outdoor area is serene and beautiful surrounded by lemon trees. The servers were friendly and attentive. All of our meals were excellent. The island itself is very crowded with tourists and this restaurant was quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend Aumm Aumm.

Went right before "the season" started and this was one of few restaurants that stayed open later. (Early April 2022).

We liked it enough the first night to end up there the next night. I had a pizza the first night that was pretty good. My friends enjoyed their dishes. The second night I split a pizza and the lemon risotto with a friend. The pizza was good again, but the risotto wasn't as flavorful as a bite we'd had the night before.

The service, experience and food were worthy of a try anytime you're in Anacapri.

Amazing hospitality. From the man at the counter to the waiters, the behaviour was very warm and welcoming.

Presentation and taste of food was excellent. Authentic preparation of italian cuisine. We had a spaghetti with clams and a risotto with mixed vegetables along with the house wine. Everything was great.

The best frutti di mare of my life!!!! Orgasmic. Salvatore (the owner) treated us to a meloncello and let me make my own pizza!! Wow. Don’t hesitate to come here. Incredible!!!

It was the best food and hospitality experience at Anacapri. If you want to have a dinner under the lemon tree=you at the right place.

We enjoyed this place a lot. Great pizza, also the starters like burrata salad and baby octopus in tomato salad tasted lovely. Our waiter was in great form and funny too, which was quite rare during our stay in Capri. Can recommend!

Great Pizzas and friendly staff! We were 8 of us on a trip and enjoyed the food and hospitality thoroughly. Went there multiple times during our stay! Highly recommended if you are in Capri!

Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the pesto pizza which was incredible. The outdoor section in the back is surrounded by a garden growing all fresh vegetables.

Friendly staff great service.

They even split the pizza in half for my wife and I (I was a little upset because I couldn’t steal more than my fair share!! ).
