This place is great!! The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the fish & chips. Very fresh fish. The girl at the counter was also very nice & helpful! I think this was one of the best meals I've had in Iceland so far! 🇮🇸🐟

Fabulous fries. Clean bathroom. And my sister says her brieburger was the best burger she has ever had. Good apple pie, too.

They have a dedicated fryer for gluten free fries although I wasn’t fully convinced that the fries themselves were gluten free. I was able to ask for a lettuce wrapped burger as a gluten free option. Yummy food!

Small spot to grab a coffee and quick bit. Lots of parking and a small trail along the ocean nearby. Worth stopping for a break. Friendly and good food.

You just can’t believe this is one of the best fish and chip I ever had in European countries. For real, though this shop looks just like a very ordinary “fast food” shop in no where and most people jsut go there for washroom….
But you got to try the fish and chip!!! The fish is really, really amazing.
Yes I know the pic is just a very standard F&C.. and I seldomly made review (unless it is very bad or very good), this one , will just surprise you

We were here yesterday and enjoyed the fish soup and vegetarian soup. Both were superb! We really enjoyed it and cannot recommend it enough. If you are in the neighborhood; come by for lunch at Stapinn.

My wife and I stayed in Arnarstapi for two nights at the local cottages and we stopped into here a few times.
Everything was great! Friendly service, soups were amazing (we had the lamb and fish). Coffee was a nice treat after seeing the sights in the wind and rain!
Highly recommend.

Stapinn is a great little place and the perfect stop after your trip to Snæfellsjökull glacier or other activities around the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The fish and chips were really good (our group of six all had the same thing) and there was a decent selection of desserts. Alcohol and candy are also on offer and interestingly displayed side by side behind the counter. The location offers a wonderful walk to the seaside and a chance to study some local lore by visiting the sculpture of Bárdur Snæfellsás. Indoor and outdoor seating. Some vegan options available.

Delicious fish and chips & very friendly service, with a lovely view. The apple cake is also well worth checking out.

A wonderful place to stop on a cold, snowy morning. We had coffee and cake. The service was quick and friendly, and the restroom was very clean.

I had a coffee and a small bite but the real reason I ended up at this restaurant was that I got stuck in the mud with my rental car at the nearby Dagverdará farm and needed help to get out. The national road assistance service (www.24ra.is) turned out to be very customer un-friendly and insanely expensive (estimated. Euro 300) so I walked and hitch-hiked to Arnarstapi for help to find somebody with real 4WD (not my rented Dacia Duster with a low-gear option👎👎).
After some asking around I ended up in Stapinn and the owner turned out to be willing to help me out, drive the 6 km to Dagverdará and saving my day !! Þakka þér fyrir !! 1000x !!

Great food and even better staff, very welcoming family owned restaurant
We stopped here on our way to visit the sites in the area
Very kind of the owner’s son in law to haul us out of the snow our car got stuck in.

Came across this lovely little restaurant whilst photographing an elopement session on the magnificent Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It offers lovely food from a typical Icelandic menu. Great location to warm up after or during a photo shoot. Loads of free parking and obviously close to beautiful photographic locations. Absolutely recommend this gem of a restaurant and looking forward to going back.

We had lattes and deserts, apple pie and happy marriage cake. So good! The baristas were friendly and the shop and restrooms were clean. Great outdoor space for sipping a latte.

a late lunch on a not so good weather day the staff provided us with impeccable service, very friendly and great food. The large fries are an American serving of fries.
