Gorgeous countryside we had all to ourselves! Wow this place was so picturesque we spent a good amount of time just getting lost in the views. If you are in the area or considering a visit, I don’t think you would be disappointed to add this to your lists of stops!

These two basalt rocks are located on the peninsula southern side, half way between Djupalonssandur black beach and small village of Hellnar.
From a distance while approaching, the rocks seem like emerging from the sea, however they rise like twin towers from the coastal cliffs. Parking is just 2 min drive off the main road and the walking path leads you to the viewing platform with magnificent views

There's not one second of the moments you spend in Iceland that you are not in awe of the landscape and beauty. We visited Lóndrangar on a very windy afternoon, but still found the site to be amazing and breathtaking. The freshness of the Atlantic ocean and the Icelandic landscape are something to behold.

Gorgeous vantage point from the Londrangar viewpoint, just a few minutes walk from the roadside parking lot. Sweeping views of the oceans and plains leading up the the mountains. And, of course, the two basalt columns jutting out of the middle of it all.

The view was beautiful, water was very blue. We did not do the 750 m hike as the weather was not good when we went, but there is a much shorter path you can take. You just go up the rubber path to a lookout area that has a nice view of the cliffs. Parking is free.

A lot of nice sleeping spots. The moss feels like you're walking on a thick nice carpet. The grass is nice and soft. And the view is astonishing. It is worth a quick nap.

Stunning views from this south western viewpoint in Snæfellsbær peninsula. There is a short walk from the parking lot and crampons are recommended during winter months. There is a slightly longer walk along the cliffs and the beach to get to the light house. Would definitely recommend stopping by at if in the peninsula.

We walked out to the Londrangar cliffs from the parking lot. There and back took about an hour, not including going to the Londrangar view point upon our return. On the walk out we passed an Arctic fox in the field. After that it was walking on uneven surfaces all the way to the cliffs. We enjoyed the walk and landscape, and were glad we did it, but can understand that many would rather the shorter and easier walk to the view points. I think both were well worth our effort.

Very scenic and easy walk along the coastal cliffs to the rock formation that towers over the horizon. Beautiful spot to walk and great views

If you are already circling the peninsula you should stop here. Very nice walk and view of the cliffs and a nesting ground for thousands of birds. There is a good place to park your car and 5 minutes away you have the view of the whole coastline. Hope to have good weather!

A good observation point with 180 degrees of the ocean, the rocks/cliff face is raw in its beauty. We went on a really windy day so we didn’t stay long but it was a nice walk to break up the long road trip. Wasn’t too busy with crowds either (we went on a Saturday in October).

Nice place, free parking.
Worth a short walk!
Viewpoint is OK, not a big interest to go to the lighthouse.

Beautiful rock formation of the southern coast of the peninsula. It was a clear and beautiful day when we were there. There are two different areas to pull in and view the rock formation. Either location will give you great views. The location just west of the rock formation leads you to a nice 20-30 minute walk along the coast and Rocky Beach. If you have the time, I suggest doing this walk. My pics are from along this walk. There are many beautiful rock formations along the southern coast of the peninsula. Take the time to see them all.

Londrangar was one of my natural highlights! You get used to the fishy smell, and then you can just take in the views and could do so for hours. Watching the birds is a plus. We didn't hike the little trail to the cliffs as we were in a hurry.

Nice place at the coast with some greatly formed rocks. You should take some time and walk around. It's nice to watch the waves and the seagulls.

This was a very cool place to hike a little and spot some puffins. The paths are very clean and nice, the cliff’s edge is very gorgeous, and the water is incredible.
