Fosshotel Hellnar

Very friendly staff. Dinner was delicious. Good and broad breakfast offer. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean.

This is awesome place to stay with a family friend even if we in we are interested to organise a function also and he celebration like marriage birthday at cetera during my stay it was very comfortable room size is very good cost wise it is budget food is very quality food test and hygienic very colourful atmosphere and must visiting place

From the rooms to the restaurant. It’s all spectacular! Our group came all the way from NJ/PA to get the opportunity to go beyond the city limits to experience quiet moments and beautiful scenery. Fosshotel Hellnar did not fail us. The food was delicious the staff was extremely friendly and professional.

After leaving the restaurant after dinner we were greeted by the beautiful Aurora Borealis. Seeing the northern lights here was the perfect end to our stay. I highly recommend staying at Fosshotel Hellnar

Quite clean and comfortable rooms,,nice warm place,the food was good .

The Fosshotel Hellnar is in a beautiful location. In between a glacier and the ocean. The room was nice with a fridge and comfy beds and pillows. I think the room could have been cleaned better. There were 8-10 hairs in the shower. Also several hairs and dust on the lower shelf of the bedside table. Also there wasn't a luggage rack or bench to put luggage on.
There was a good choice of tv channels and free wifi. The room was also quiet.
The employees were friendly.
We ate at the restaurant for dinner. The menu is limited. The food was delicious. We had beef and fish.

Amazing, warm place. Beautiful view, if you are lucky you can see the whales from the restaurant. We enjoyed amazing breakfast with ocean view. Staff was super friendly.

What a wonderful restful place to stop for the night. Clean and comfortable with delicious food - what more could you ask! Dinner was vegetarian tacos- SO flavorful. Breakfast buffet was generous and delightful.

The hotel was in the middle of nowhere ir felt like it but oh my, it was stunning location. You can walk to a small pebble beach from the hotel which has a cute cafe or you can take a long walk in the lava fields which was beautiful. The rooms were clean and big enough. The staff was super friendly, accommodating and polite. Special shout out to Magdalena who was just amazing and the chef. The food is the best we had in Iceland. We had lamb, beef and fish which were all amazing. The breakfast is plentiful and there is nothing i would fault.
Just be aware that the nearest big town is half an hoyr away with grocery shops and restaurants. The nearest small restaurant was at Arnarstapi but the menu was limited. If you wamt good food, just eat at the hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here!!! Staff was super accommodating and helpful. My room had a great view of the ocean!! Loved the shower pressure and heated floors. Popped the circuit breaker trying to plug in my appliances and walls were on the thin side. Overall, great hotel. Would stay here again :)

We stayed here for two nights in October 2017. This was one of my most comfortable places we stayed at. I do wish we knew about the free breakfast. This was our first hotel we stayed at in Iceland and wasn't aware that basically all places provide breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the only place that had a topper that made you feel like it was one bed instead of two twin beds. Great view! Dinner was good. Nice walking trail. We spent our time at Snaefelsness national park and drove our 4x4 car rental across the mountain. Not many places to eat around here, maybe three. We would stay here again. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed in a few fosshotel during our trip around Iceland and this was the best! Very nice rooms, with views of the mountains or the sea depending on which side you're on. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing as well, really top quality stuff - book if you want to eat here! The location is great for exploring the peninsula and there are some beautiful coastal walks on its doorstep. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel is much nicer than it appears in google on any of the booking sites. The rooms were the most comfortable and best kept during my stay so far, especially in this price range. This location overlooks the water and is a perfect spot for exploring the western part of the country. The restaurant is good and the staff is very friendly.

This hotel is located on a wonderful cliff with to views to the sea from the lobby, the restaurant and some rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was pleasant and the the food good and with reasonable prices. Breakfast was very good. Our room was facing the glacier and mountains, very quiet and comfortable.

Stayed for one night here as part of our trip around Iceland. The hotel had just re-opened for the spring. Room was spacious enough and well equipped, dinner food was great. The location is really good, a couple of km from the ring road yet isolated enough that you can enjoy a nice walk along the coast - there's a 2-3km path going northeast, cutting across the rocks along the coast.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel whilst touring Iceland. It is in a beautiful location on the coast. The room was clean and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the evening meal.

I’ve reserved Fosshotel Hellnar for the first night for my trip to Iceland. However because of a medical emergency I need to change my plan at the absolute last minute on the day to go to seek medical attention. And I’m so thankful that the hotel has gracefully waved the cancellation charges for me.

Besides the superior rooms being beautiful warm and large, I think there is a contest among the staff on who can be nicer! The breakfast and dinner was outstanding! If your lucky enough to stay here, you will be more than happy with everything!
