My wife and I had an outstanding 6 hour tour with our guide Natalie exploring the Puffin cliffs where several species of birds were nesting, going to the nearby beach for a casual stroll and visiting the fascinating Hnjótur history museum. Natalie was very friendly, spoke excellent English and was knowledgeable about many subjects from history to the landscape to the wildlife. We highly recommend this tour and especially Natalie as a guide.

Went to Latrbjarg cliffs, Hnjotur museum and Raudasandur beach with Julia. Fantastic day, wonderful tour guide, who was very very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have been better. Highly recommended.

Wir wurden von unserem Guide mit einem geländetauglichen HUMMER vom Hotel Latrabjarg abgeholt. Er gab uns bereits auf der Fahrt zum Vogelfelsen Latrabjarg viele Informationen zur Vegetation aber auch zum Leben der früheren Bewohner der Gegend. Beim Wandern auf dem Vogelfelsen achtete er sorgsam auf unsere Sicherheit. Es war sehr sehr windig und deswegen etwas gefährlich. Die Wanderung auf dem Vogelfelsen war durch das Wetter etwas beschwerlich aber dennoch außergewöhnlich. Leider waren Anfang August die meisten hier nistenden Vögel bereits weitergezogen. Wir haben nur noch sehr wenige Puffins gesehen. Am Ende der Tour waren wir noch im Museum Hnjotur. Dort gab uns der Guide sehr gute Einblicke in das frühere beschwerliche Leben der Einwohner.

Patreksfjörður is an Icelandic village in the Westfjords with 721 inhabitants. The town was named after Patrick bishop in the Hebrides who was the spiritual guide of Örlygur Hrappson, the original settler in the area who came from the Hebrides. source
