If you have been to a Fosshotel before then this is the same luxurious hotel you know of. The building is large, clean, and modern. Rooms were large and very clean with the bathrooms being spacious as well. Parking is free and the breakfast area is huge with many hot and cold options to choose from. You wont be disappointed ever with Fosshotels. Staff were friendly and nice too.

This hotel is perfect for our trip. It is easy to get to with own parking lots. The room is clean and the bed is comfort. We did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant but it seemed to be quite popular at the the night when we were there.

The location is ideal: we checked in at late evening. Then after having dinner at a restaurant nearby, the sky is still very bright when it was already 9:00 PM. So we decided to drive to the Puffin Cliff, even though it is an one-hour driving trip. But it is really worth it. Only very few people there and I did not even need to use my spotting scope to search for the puffins at all. Several pairs of these beautiful birds are staying comfortably on the cliff, less than 10 feet away from us! Such an amazing experience (Just remember to wear warm if you plan to stay long there though). Since was June, the sky is still quite bright and we have no issue driving back to the hotel.

Nice hotel, located by the ocean with a beautiful view. The service at the reception and restaurant super obliging and kind. Fantastic food. A big thank you to Mrs. Marina for her brilliant approach to the client. Very nice and professional staff, fluent in several languages. Rooms clean and tidy.

We stayed here 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was lovely, and much more comfortable than many in the Westfjords, with an excellent and furnishings, and we loved the restaurant! The location is excellent as a base for exploring the wonders of this area.

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room that faced behind the hotel, but if you can get one that overlooks Patreksfjordur, that would be ideal. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, loaning us an a power adapter so that we could charger our devices. They do not have room service (we did not have this in any of our 11 hotels in Iceland), but I was not feeling well, so the restaurant let my husband bring the food to our room. It was delicious. One of the favorite meals I had in Iceland. I wish I knew how the dessert was made because I want to eat this everyday!

Very nice hotel in a lovely little village with scenic view of the bay and cliffs. The room was very comfortable and good sized. The staff was friendly. The breakfast very good and dinner at the restaurant also good, though a little pricey. The village has a local swimming pool, but there are better free hot springs in the area that are more authentic. If you don’t get seasick I would recommend taking the ferry to get to the westfjords since some of the roads are very bad.

5 stars is a little to high, but relative to all other hotels we have stayed at in Iceland over the last 2 weeks, the Foss Hotels have been our favorite. Nice size rooms and bathrooms, breakfast with real scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. The westfjords hotel may be a little simpler than the rest, but probably the best hotel in westfjords. Friendly staff, and quiet location. Try to get a room on backside of hotel for nice mountain view and no street noise.

This hotel is notable for many reasons.

First off, the customer service we received was unsurpassable! Every person we talked to was professional, courteous, personable, hospitable, and all around helpful. Not to mention, their cheery nature was contagious!

Secondly, the staff went out of their way to ensure that we felt celebrated during our honeymoon stay. We have stayed at 11 hotels/guest-houeses thus far during our stay here in Iceland and FossHotel has been the first to make note of this special occasion.

Thirdly, our dinner at the in-hotel restaurant was delectable! I would highly reccomend checking the restaurant out if you are given the opportunity (especially fellow honeymoomers).

Lastly, the view of the ocean was a wonderful and unexpected addition!

Thank you FossHotel staff for making our honeymoon with you all a magical experience!

Really nice cozy, reasonably priced hotel with friendly and knowledgable staff. They have a really good buffet breakfast and the room has an amazing view to the mountains. The only downfall is that it's shower curtain was a bit narrow so it's easy to splash the water out onto the floor and the internet isn't the best which is to be expected in a small town like this. Overall a great experience though!

I actually did not stay here but went in to try to get a coffee cup to go. And the staff was absolutely awesome. But they don't sell coffee just so you know. At least not to go.

Haven't yet had a chance to stay, as we had to cancel our trip due to COVID-19. We had a booking at this hotel which wasn't refundable, but the hotel kindly agreed to refund our booking, which is great customer service. Looking forward to staying when we can travel again.

Well situated, modern, clean, professionally staffed hotel. Located seemingly in the middle of nowhere, you drive for hours on deserted roads, then suddenly you come upon Patreksfjordur and this clean, crisp hotel. A very welcome sight.

Check in is quick and professional, on par with any Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt. Rooms are clean, modern, well equipped with sufficient lights and chairs. Beds comfortable and towels/linens clean and crisp. Staff are friendly, helpful, and informative, happy to give suggestions on where to eat or find a good spot to watch the sunset.

Breakfast excellent, plenty of hard boiled eggs, sliced meats, freshly baked bread, skyr (of course), cereal, and sliced fresh fruit. Tea, coffee, apple juice, and orange juice were available.

We would like to go back to the west fjords again, and would definitely stay at the FossHotel.
