This is undoubtedly the best campsite I've visited. The views are breathtaking, nestled between a massive mountain with a waterfall, and the expansive ocean, featuring a sizable beach. The site offers ample space, complemented by top-notch facilities, including a spacious, private shower room, a kitchen, and two toilets – all meticulously maintained. While the road leading to the campsite can be quite demanding, the spectacular views it offers would be worth a premium for many. The only drawback is the presence of just one shower room, resulting in minor queues.

This setting is incredible, quite a hair raising ride on winding unsurfaced roads but well worth it for the stunning beach and mountain backdrop. Well equipped and clean facilities, kitchen, showers, toilets, water, small reception selling small food items. Watched the sunset with a gin and tonic, beautiful

Incredible location. Such a great place to stay. They have 1 shower with hot water included in the price, many toilets, small kitchen and a washing machine (no dryer). You can also buy a beer at the reception:) they also have tables and benches to seat and have a meal outside.

The perfect campsite. Right on the most beautiful, vast beach with views of cliffs and waterfalls. Showers, bathrooms, and kitchen were all clean and easily accessible. The campground had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the view. Loved it so much here and am hoping I can one day return!

Superb location and a great campsite with hot shower, kitchen and also a free coffee available at the reception! I would say that this was the best camp we stayed in during our one month journey around Iceland! Also, we saw the biggest seal colony right on the neighbouring beach!

Motorbike traveler... very good camp near beach. Nice facilities in a wooden little houses. Kitchen with stoves and microwave oven. Toiletes and showers are somehow clean. BUT there is limited amount of hot water!! So it is better to get a shower sooner than later.

Reading "Best camping spot in Iceland" in the comments quite often? Claiming this for this one is no exaggeration. Being closer to paradise will be a challenge!

Great campsite. One shower inside, one outside. Small kitchen can get really busy. Great views and you can hike to see the seals during low tide. Campsite can get SUPER windy and cold. Free coffee and tea for guests!

Beautiful campsite, which has everything you need. Kitchen with complete equipment, 1 shower and 4 toilets. Extremely clean, campsite keaper is very nice and helpful. There's even a little shop with self made wool products and snacks.
Location stunning. Sheep and seals around the campsite.

Lovely campsite. A lot of space for a tent/camper, squeaky clean toilets, well equipped kitchen. Very nice staff.

What a perfect location!

The campsite is located at a very beautiful beach - the huts are cozy (the beds are comfortable).

The showers and toilets are clean and the kitchen is well-equipped with hot plate, toaster, microwave and water heater (and of course cutlery and dishes)

Absolutely beautiful campsite by the beach that had all the basic amenities puls a washer and dryer. Plenty of parking spots.
Just FYI the road (Abt 12 min drive) leading down to the campsite is super steep and windey. It's not bad at all but just drive slowly. You don't need a 4X4 but be careful.
Overall be careful and enjoy this beautiful campsite

Great stop! It is a long drive out here on a dirt road. But the view is totally worth it! 3000isk for 2 people.

Hot unlimited and included shower! 2 clean bathrooms! Kitchen stocked with a microwave, kettle, toaster, 1 hot stove top to cook food on, pots/pans, cutting boards, utensils, glassware, plates, bowls, etc. All things you would need! Washer is also included in the price! 2 sinks in the kitchen area to clean dishes.

Shower room seemed fairly new. When the washer was going on or someone was using the kitchen sink, the shower pressure would stop and it would turn into more of a tiny stream. So you may want to time it out when to shower when no one is in the kitchen using the sink or washer.

No wifi (that I saw) or common area (besides the kitchen area that has 3 chairs)

The beach view is absolutely breathtaking!! Many people come just for the beach walk. All in all, a great campground!! Highly recommend!

Beautiful campside with lots of space and an even ground for tents. Facilities are clean and rustic but simple and the kitchen has only two sinks but is spacious and warm.

Beautiful location right on the beach.

The campsite is quite large so it can be busy in high season, we were there during the first week of september and there were no more than 10 units there. The beach starts just behind a fence that surrounds the campsite.

The facilities are made up of wooden huts/sheds. There is a cooking area (electric kettle and hotplate), sinks, and a washing machine (costs extra). There are two showers (one outside, the other one in the same hut as the disabled toilet), which was plenty when we were there but it could get crowded if it's busy. There are 2 toilets + 1 disabled toilet (again, same room as the shower).

The reception building also has a small shop which sells snacks etc. (not open all day).

All in all, it's a great campsite with an amazing location if the weather plays along. If it's raining down, the long sand beach might not be as fun.

The drive there is fine for a 2 wheel drive car, assuming you don't mind potholes or steep slopes next to the road.

This campsite gets a full house from me, it was the best camping place during our trip.

Although they could have a bigger hot water tank, they make up for in great service.

The campsite is huge and very spacious, the outdoor shower was amazing early in the morning.

Our biggest regret was not staying for two nights, we are already planing a trip just to go there.

Stunningly beautiful beach and view next to the camp site! The camp site was huge with plenty of space for everyone, something I quite like! The facilities were nice, but affected by a serious drought this summer, we were told, so there was not much running water there, but enough.

Great campinground! Hot shower (you have a whole wooden house to yourself but also I guess there are lines if you shower in peak time), clean toilets, free coffee and tea, small shop with all necessities, nice staff! There is kitchen with pots, stove, kettle. One of the best camping I've been to and we've camped around the whole of Iceland. With great view! The beach is amazing, a very calm place.
