Me and my girlfriend planned a trip to Iceland for May 2020, which by the way had to be postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We initially tried to postpone it to September 2020, then February 2021, then later in 2021, but every time the rules and restrictions forced us to postpone the trip again. Finally, we are now ready to come to Iceland in February 2022, but Arnarstapi Guesthouse simply refused to extend the voucher after December 2021.

The hotel explanation is that they already extended it first for one year from May 2020 to May 2021, then "courteously" extended it again until December 2021, but this is an absolute joke considering that it was impossible to come until a few months ago.
And even worse, of the dozen of bookings we made for our trip, Arnarstapi Guesthouse is the only one that won't even accept our claim! We are not even asking for a refund, only to be able to use the money we actually spent, even if we have to add a little more to complete the payment.

So, if you go to this hotel, you will be happy to know that the room you have paid for may have already been paid by someone else, and that the owners took the money twice.
