B59 Hótel

New hotel conveniently located if you'd like to explore eastern Iceland (Snæfellsnes). The hotel has good breakfast and restaurant with good choices of pizza and burgers. The rooms are fairly large and clean. There is a convenient parking in front of the hotel.

The restaurant closes a bit early (8pm), so if you are arriving late, it's better to eat elsewhere.

My wife and I have just had a corner suite on the 5th floor of B59 with fantastic views of the mountains around Borgarnes and a fjord, where we could watch the tide going in and out.

With the small dining table and its 2 chairs in the suite, you could combine dining and viewing which we did both nights staying at the hotel.

2 large beds pushed together created an enormous and comfortable double bed. The suite also had several large closets providing ample hanging and shelving space for clothes. A safe box had plenty of space for a laptop. Also, a nice size fridge was provided.

The bathroom was well appointed and lit, although we would have appreciated more space around the basin and a storage place for our toilet bags.

The restaurant was designed as a food court, where you could get different kind of foods. You could have the food as take-away.

In the basement there is a large wellness area with several different kind of spas and gym.

All the staff we met, were very kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay here. Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to 2 rooms instead of the one we had reserved. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great view. Overall, it was an excellent stay.

Beautiful hotel in an ideal location . Rooms are really good with a balcony. The only disadvantage is you will not be able to connect wifi from rooms😭

We booked here at the last minute after our booking with an alternate homestay in Borganes fell through (they never sent us our check in details and we had no way to access our room upon arrival). We were feeling very tired and frustrated after a long day and the receptionist at B59 was so kind and lovely, she really turned our day around! Plus she even was able to offer us a discounted room upgrade. The room was clean, spacious and modern, and included access to the spa which was a great experience. Very happy with our stay and would recommend!

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel in March 2022. I am surprised it is only a 3 star, as I was extremely happy with everything about this place. Very clean, excellent front desk assistance, and the breakfast was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable. The windows opened to let in the fresh air (which is almost the norm in every hotel in Iceland). Our view was spectacular! Highly recommend.

My husband and I are on vacation from New York. We stayed here and enjoyed the suana and hot tub. The breakfast was good minus the eggs. We would definitely stay again. The rooms were clean.

We had a really good stay at hotel B59. The room was modern, warm and clean. Also the bed was very comfortable. Spacious, clean bathroom.
We booked the standard room which didn’t have the spa included in the price, but we were able to get access for about €13 per person. The spa had 3 saunas (infrared, steam and finnish) and a jacuzzi.

The only downside was the not working tv and mini fridge in the room. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Very nice staff, perfect and clean rooms. Good value for money. And the spa, after your daytrip is priceless.

Simon is a gem on the B59 hotel staff, amongst the other great employees. He was a great help during my check in. There was a large party ongoing and I had just arrived with 3 hours of sleep from a redeye and he got me in a quiet room as quickly as possible. He also offered assistance for many other things.
I hope the hotel appreciates what a great employee he is. He took charge to make sure that we were satisfied and comfortable. He did an awesome job. I would come back again to this hotel because of the service.

We stayed here two nights and they were both great. It was really cool that the room key had to be inserted in order to turn the room lights on. Such an interesting idea to keep things "green". The hotel had three saunas, a hot tub, and shallow pool in the underground floor. It was a nice relaxing area after long days out and about! Highly recommend!

Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of quality items…including cod liver oil 😝

The night we stayed there was some sort of disco and the bass was thumping. We were on the 4th floor but I could still hear the bass through the pillow!

Wonderful customer service, ordered nautalund/beef tenderloin for dinner, was superb but would’ve ordered medium instead of medium rare, loved the red wine sauce. To top it all, we had a complimentary french chocolate cake for dessert! Room was not that big but new, clean and neat, quiet too. Super satisfied👍

Very nice hotel with restaurant and bar. Buffet with both continental and English breakfast. Rooms and beds were good. Bathroom very spacious. In the basement is a very nice spa with jacuzzi and sauna, lovely. Enjoyed my stay.

We stay on this hotel for couple days because our flight cancelation by Iceland air.
Iclandair didn't help us but the hotel staff helped us alot very friendly and nice we appreciate their help.
They deserve more than 5 stars.
Their food is very delicious specially lamb chops.

Nice and spacious rooms for large groups. Bathroom design is a bit unthought out. Community bathrooms are helpful when in large groups. Good breakfast and helpful staff.

Very neat and hygienic hotel. Room was very clean. It is situated near to gas station and supermarket.
The breakfast was good with lots of variety and their restaurant for dinner had a good menu but it's open only till 9.

It’s was a great location, easy to find and plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large as was the shower room. The whole hotel was modern and clean. There is also a spa but we didn’t use that. This hotel was the second night of our journey around iceland and is in a perfect location. Spent the morning in Reykjavík and then exploring Húsafell area, this hotel was perfect for the overnight stay and our onward journey toward Kirkjafell in the morning. Breakfast was good but unfortunately, at the time of our stay, there were no special provision for coeliac or Gluten free diet i.e. no gluten free bread or cereal - which is unusual for Iceland.

I just can suggest this hotel to stay!Everything went smoothly and everything was perfect. The breakfast,the staff,the cleanlyness,the room,the spa and the environment. Furthermore it is in front of the supermarket,the primachy and some shops.
