Hótel Örk

My adult daughters and I were visiting from Canada and we stayed here for one night as part of our Nice Travel tour. Great room, and breakfast, and we also enjoyed the pool and thermal tub.

Can't fault this hotel at all.

Amazing breakfast especially given the price of food in Iceland you'll appreciate this.

Great selection of games in the games room. Air Hockey machine needs fixing please!!!

Nice and warm 38-42 degrees jacuzzis outside open until 10PM even in winter.

Rooms were ok, nothing luxurious but functional.

Heating - amazing.

Lots of clean towels provided.

Rooms are only cleaned if you specifically ask at the reception.

Stayved for 2 nights. Great location, just 15 mins from Slefoss. Close to lava tunnels, which was an unexpected yet brilliant find. Can be noisy after 10pm. We had someone rearranging furniture above us. Fab breakfast. Pool and hot tubs we're an added bonus.

Nice hotel in a pleasant town. We had a superior room which was spacious and well appointed. Lots of places to eat within walking distance if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. We were very lucky and had a great show from the northern lights during our stay.

Great hotel, great service with friendly staff. Breakfast is very good. But do not eat evening meals here. Food is not the best, and lots of other choices locally.

The hotel was great and we loved our stay! The room was clean and spacious as well as the hotel itself. The reception staff was super friendly and helpful plus they have a nice bar and restaurant. We did eat breakfast there in the morning and it was perfect! There was lots of seating and plenty of breakfast options. They do also have a pool there but we did not get to go in. It looked clean and well taken care of. The location is amazing and we would highly recommend staying here!

Considering l booked incredibly late , and was lucky to even get a room ,the hotel was great , lovely staff good breakfast, and the all year round hot tub and sauna and warm pool is an added bonus.

This was our first on the road stop on our Iceland Complete Coach Tour. This was one of the few stops where the hotel had a pool which was a plus as I was looking forward to relaxing after a day of travel. They provided a great plated dinner (Catfish) and I partook of the local beer and the pool. The rooms were good and clean and the service was also great.

The on-site amenities, like the pool and restaurant, made my visit even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return for another relaxing experience. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff. Large heated pool. Two large hot tubs. Hot sauna near pool. Restaurant is very good.

We had to stop here when the roads were closed to Reykjavik because of a snow storm. Big spacious rooms, plenty of parking, menu not big at the restaurant and only open until 9. But plenty in the area. Breakfast was a good selection, porridge with different toppings, fruit, breads, scrambled eggs and beans and some sausage, lots of juices and a coffee machine.

A nice hotel in the heart of Hveragerði, good amenities and modern rooms but the staff deserves the most praise. We had some problems with noisy and smoking guests in other rooms and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and were extremely professional handling our complaints.
Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed a magnificent meal at the Hotel Ork. All the house wines and local craft beers were amazing. Staff are super friendly and, in summary, probably the best dining experience of our trip so far!

Greatly located within Hveragerði. Very friendly staff. Modern, spacious, and very clean rooms. Family-friendly, with playroom and a heated pool.

Stayed here for four nights. Had a nice room with a balcony in the new wing. The room was spacious and clean. Wonderful rainfall shower.
The location was great - 45 minutes to Reykjavik, 45 minutes to the Golden Circle, easy access to the Ring Road.
A generous continental breakfast is served each morning.

Stayed here with a group visiting from the USA. Had a great experience. My room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable! Nice souvenirs and snacks available in the lobby. Great breakfast buffet each morning.

We stayed here for one night only and I would loved to have stayed another. The hotel is beautiful, staff are friendly. It’s good value for money (relative to Icelandic prices). It has a nice restaurant and separate breakfast area. The breakfast options were more extensive here vs previous hotels on our trip. Normal continental breakfast traditional to Iceland but with hot food options also - bacon, eggs, pancakes. The best part? The outdoor geothermal sauna & swimming pools. I had a dip at 9.30pm when it was snowing and my only regret was not going in earlier (it closes at 10pm). The water was amazing in the mini jacuzzi type pool. It has slides also but due to them having snow on the bottom, I decided not to test them out. I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Ork.

I wanted to say my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ork. The Hotel Manager was extremely kind and professional. He handled the IcelandAir cancellations with such grace and kindness that we felt less stressed knowing we were being taken care of. I wanted to share our experience with the hotel and wanted to thank you again for your kind hospitality.

Good option in the area. Upon check in we arrived at our room and noticed it had two single beds. Asked the front desk if we could have a double and he upgraded us for free! Very personal and he even took the effort to come up to our room which showed a added personal touch.

Upgraded room was really nice. Very tasteful and decorated to a high standard. Separate sofa area and nice double bed. Bathroom was well spaced. Rain fall shower and heated towel rack was a nice touch.

Ate at the restaurant and food was good quality. Pricey but in line with Iceland prices.

Breakfast was decent. Hot and cold options, eggs, sausage and bacon. Breads and jam, cereal etc.

Did not use them but the hotel as free geothermal swimming pool and jacuzzi you can use.

Parking was easy close to entrance which in the winter is useful.

Overall very happy and would stay again for sure. If you can afford it the upgraded room is worth it.
