This place is absolutely amazing. We came in January with almost a blizzard blowing, then got into this super pool which is naturally heated from the Geyser behind the pool

The facilities are great all very tidy and clean. You must shower before going in to take off chemicals and such like on your skin.

Just walking in the pool is such an experience, the bottom of the pool is all natural stones and pebbles which adds to the experience.

The Secret Lagoon for me is much better than the Blue Lagoon as it's more natural, less commercialized and less crowded.

Definitely worth the visit

The Secret Lagoon is a fantastic place where you can relax in a real lagoon. There are thermal springs around the lagoon, and pipes are transported into it.

It's very clean and modern and has a lot of offers for drinks and snacks.

Bring your own towel with you, flipflop are not commonly used, but you can bring them with you.

The dressing room is firstly a common room for shoes to take off and then separation between men and women. There are lockers for free. Just keep your bracelet with the key with you. You need to shower before you enter the lagoon. They provide their own shampoo and conditioner from the secret Lagoon great!

The temperature is 40 °C but closer to the hot springs, it's getting hotter. The ground of the lagoon is 1 cm little black round rocks. It's like a massage to your feet. Closer to the wall of the springs, there are flat slippery stones as a ground. Be careful to step on it.

Around the Lagoon is a wooden covered walkway where you can cool down after bathing. It's a great view!

Important you can drink your drinks wine, water, and soft drinks in the lagoon if you are buying it from the shop.

Very big recommendation to visit.

Lovely place, out of the way and not very busy. Changing rooms and showers were clean and the lagoon was amazing! Warm with lots of space to explore, and a cute little geyser to watch. There's a path around the edge which was nice to walk and a little shop for snacks and drinks. Really charming place and would thoroughly recommend!

My wife and I came here for a few hours and it was awesome! Much different than the other lagoons we visited while in Iceland in 2023. Felt much more like a local place to soak vs an expensive spa like the blue lagoon or the sky lagoon

This is the oldest hot spring in Iceland. The place was not crowded when we visited. The water in the pool is ~ 40°C warm, heated naturally by the geothermal energy. The pool is natural, there's algae in the pool. The area behind the pool is pretty hot, with spring/steams. There are separate shower/locker room for men and women; but the pool is common. Everyone is required to take the public shower naked before entering the pool. Drinks/snacks are available at this place. Drinks are allowed in the pool.

This was a must experience when going to Iceland!
To be honest, we were hoping to go to the Blue Lagoon, but it was closed, due to seismic activity.
However, having said that, after going to the Secret Lagoon, we were glad to have gone there! The changing rooms were clean and spacious, as was the Lagoon itself.
Definitely recommend a visit here!

Beautiful lava rock pool.

Warning: I would only say that it was very unpleasant to have to shower in front of everyone, because there was no privacy in the shower room. Also, they only give you one small towel, which frankly isn’t enough. But still, it is a great place to visit.

You need a reservation, so buy tickets with anticipation.

A very nice place for hot springs and relax on the way with Golden Circle. Big hot pool, friendly service. Price adequate to quality.

I loved it. Not crowded. They waterproofed my phone for a small fee. The water was just perfect for soothing tired sore muscles. The changing rooms were clean and the bathing suit dryer was such a bag saver. Kept me from getting everything wet.

Loved Secret Lagoon! We hit up multiple lagoons on our vacation and Secret Lagoon was a fave! Super traditional and historic! So much more affordable than the touristy ones. We pre ordered our ticket and arrived on time to no wait. They have a large locker room/shower to use before going in.

The lagoon itself is surrounded by beautiful landscapes worth seeing. The lagoon itself was really warm and I loved how deep it was so you can fully soak. Some spots were warmer than others so wander around to find your perfect spot. The staff was friendly and welcoming to us.

After soaking for about a hour, we walked around the property checking out the hot springs that isn’t for bathing (way to hot!) but made cool photos!

They have a little cafe area inside if you want a drink or snack before/after your soak! It was such a peaceful place and we LOVED our time at Secret Lagoon!

This is a very cool hot spring, with natural rocks underfoot and grass around some edges. The changing areas were meticulously clean, with an initial room for everyone to leave their shoes. Then there was a men's and a women's locker room. The men's locker room had two bathrooms, hundreds of lockers with keys on silicone wristbands, 2 hair dryers, a water fountain, a swimsuit spinner to dry your suit, and a line of shower heads for bathing. There was no private shower space - it was entirely open, with hooks for towels. There were clear signs showing you must shower naked before putting on your suit and entering the hot springs.

Lovely staff.
I didn't book the ticket in advance. I walked straight in. However, when I was leaving, a coach arrived with a lots of people

We loved Secret Lagoon! It was admittedly a bit busy when we were there on a weekday evening, but we had purchased tickets ahead of time and were quickly given our towels and off to change. The lagoon was perfectly warm/hot with lovely soothing rocks at your feet. Such a relaxing and traditional experience! Love the little elf houses off to one side also, cute touch.

One of the last lagoons we visited before we left Iceland was the Secret Lagoon and it was a unique experience, especially when compared to the other one I went to. One notable advantage was the cost; Secret Lagoon was considerably more budget-friendly. However, it's worth noting that it's smaller than Blue Lagoon.

We arrived around 6 pm, and the lagoon closes at 8 pm, with a requirement to exit the water by 7:45 pm. This time frame allowed us to fully enjoy the experience. There is a short walking path behind the lagoon, where we could witness little geysers erupting, adding an exciting natural element.

Inside, there's an indoor sitting area where you can purchase snacks, which is quite convenient. However, it's essential to mention that the ladies' showers lack curtains, which means there isn't much privacy.

Secret Lagoon offers a more affordable and intimate alternative to the Blue Lagoon. It's a great spot to relax, soak in the natural beauty, and even witness some geothermal wonders.

I recently came here with my boyfriend on my birthday and we had a great time. It was about two hours from the KEF Airport I loved that they waterproof your phone for a fee which was really cool and the water was perfectly warm and relaxing I spent about two hours here, I definitely recommend

Our visit to the Secret Lagoon was a delightful escape, even in the midst of rainy weather. The natural beauty of the lagoon shone through, offering a serene and relaxing atmosphere that made the rain seem insignificant. Arriving early was a great decision, allowing us to savor the tranquility and beat the crowds. The changing facilities were clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this hidden gem, as it provides a blissful retreat even in less than ideal weather conditions.

After a day of driving the Golden Circle we landed at the Secret Lagoon. Awesome place. The pool was great, relaxing after a long day. Not too crowded and inexpensive compared to some other lagoons we visited. Definitely worth the drive!

Loved the secret lagoon. Very friendly staff and such a no-nonsense experience. You can take floats for free and have a nice paddle / swim. We walked around the pool to cool down, which is fascinating with the small geysers bubbling away.

It’s literally a secret spot everyone hardly knows. The location is a suburban area where there’s nothing to do except enjoying the hot spring.
The hot spring faculty is not so big but cozy enough to be loved for those who like local community.
You can enjoy the hot spring with only your bathing suits and you can borrow a towel. Staff crews monitor all the time for security and safety.
