An informative visitor center next to the lighthouse in Snaefellsjokull National Park. There are clean toilets, a gift shop, and some displays about the geology, flora and fauna of the park, as well as staff to answer questions. We also saw an arctic fox right outside!

Very nice place with good hiking trails around. A lot of free parking space. They have public toilets which are open 24/7, very clean and tidy and even heated! We also came here at night to see the northern lights and it was the perfect place for that!

We were very lucky to have been visited by an Arctic Fox. The lighthouse is easily seen from the parking area

Worth the visit. This place has a beautiful view. The visitor center has great information. The view outside is what takes your breath away. This is one of the places that is moderately desirable to go see. It’s great but if you’re limited in time on seeing sights, then you can views these photos and forgo the visitor center and be fine with it. If you have time then go see. Enjoy your trip around Iceland and make sure you get to Blue Lagoon. It’s worth the cost.

Absolutely amazing! The grass is like pillows. The meadow is exactly a meadow that you would dream about: lust, green, soft. There are birds chirping and the ocean laps and creates such a peaceful mood. The black rock beach is also beautiful. In the distance is a beautiful mountain and a rock structure filmed in Game of Thrones.

The visitor centre was impressive! Great exhibits about the area and history, and free washrooms available. The gift shop has some unique items as well, and the staff were friendly. A nice place to stop!

This place was a nice surpise on our roadtrip. The visitor center has interesting panels with info on the area + bathrooms (the only one we found in all peninsula apart from campsites and hotel in Budir).
There is a picnic area just outside where we were allowed to have lunch with our camping stove.
We were lucky enough to spot an arctic fox in the parking lot: as their hunting is forbidden in the Natural Park, they act more relaxed in this part of Iceland.

Nice visitor's center with good maps and some interactive content for the kids. Also clean bathrooms. There's a lighthouse just a short walk away.

A really informative Visitor Centre. They provide a load of information about the history of the national park. Most importantly, they sell maps with trekking trails and have a free toilet.

We went into the Gestastofa Visitor Center to learn about the area, and it was like a gift shop and a museum all in one. They had some hands on stuff for kids(and big kids like myself), and also information about plant and animal life around the park. They even had some red or green seaweed that you could try to see how it fits your pallet ( The guy that tried it after me promptly walked outside and spit it out). The staff is fluent in English and they are friendly and very helpful! Overall, this was a great experience. P.s. there is a lighthouse about 300 yards from the visitor center and the beach is all black basalt smooth stones.

In what appears to be an out-of-the-way location, this was an informative and scenic stop on our bus tour.
