We visited this swimming Pool after a visit in the Aerbaer open air museum. If you take a city pass of Reykjavik, the entrance is included. You can easy get there with public transportation.

You have to shower naked before you put your swimwear on and before you enter the swimming Pool, icelandic rules before swimming. There are 2 separate area's, one for men and one gir wonen. The changing room is public.

The water is nice and hot and the view beautiful. You have several pools with different temperatures, 37-39, 40-42, 42-44. Abd a cold Pool, 8-10.
There's also a slide.

Great pool overlooking the local park. Infrared sauna, hot tubs, a slide, steambath & a larger pool where you can swim.

Been frequenting this pool for a five years now.

I enjoyed a relaxing visit to Arnaerlaug after a long flight. The staff were very attentive and patient. It was a cool way to interact with locals and visitors.

A great community pool. There are multiple pools linked together. There is an indoor pool that is also linked to the outdoor pool. The water slide is fun too. You can swim laps. There are other pools with different temperatures and a hot sauna as well. A great way to end the evening.

This pool can offer interesting views of Reykjavik on a good day. Outdoor and indoor pools are connected (unless its too cold!)

A lovely swimming pool with beautiful views in Árbær. It's located in a family neighborhood so not over crowded with tourists. A hot pot for every taste and fun for the kids. It has an indoor pool that connects with the outside one so it's easier to get outside if the day is too cold

Great neighborhood pool. Awesome infrared sauna in the dressing room that you can sit in for up to 20 minutes at a time. The water aerobics class was great. The hot tubs are clean and there are several choices between different temperatures to choose from. Highly recommend. It's great to bring kids to as well since there is a water slide and a kid hot tub in the pool as well.

great geothermal pools on the outskirts of Reykjavik. I was a tourist to the area and while this is not the blue lagoon, it's a great opportunity to partake in a local icelandic ritual. I went to two of these while I was in Iceland and both were outstanding.

Admission is 1200 isk or free with the city card. At the desk they will give you a bar code to go into the men's or women's locker room. There you can get a free locker, then you are required to shower naked before continuing to the pool. Facilities are so clean and well kept, this is a great place to shower when camping.

There are swimming pools, a slide, high enough to have fun for an adult, hot (not hot, warm, 40-48c) a stem sauna, allitle more than 40c, but the sauna is good. Everyone is having a great time. Staff is professional.
Better bring own towel and underwear, costs more that entry.

Very relaxing place with hot baths and one steam sauna. No dry sauna unfortunately. Mainly for local people but travelers can enjoy it as well as long as you have a bathing suit and a towel.

On the top of my Reykjavik pool list until something else unseats this gem. City views from the lap pool and one of the hot pots, love the inter-connectedness of it, great for kids and adults alike. Check it out!

Amazing (like all Icelandic pools). Quieter than other pools close to the city. You can swim from the inside to the outside through a little canal which is fun. Hot tubs are nice and deep and open too.

I used to go here back in the 90's and it was great to go there again. Hot pots and steam bath are always clean and in close proximity. It was very cold outside so it makes it convinient. I went in the morning so it was not too busy yet. We used to go on a weekend and then it is very busy with a good atmosphere. I still prefer it over most other pools in the Reykjavik area

Great thermal bath for both kids and parents. Clean changing room, huge tube slide, other smaller slides, 2 lap pool and like 5-6 baths ranging from “ice bath” to lobster pot”.
