Kiljan Guesthouse makes us feel just like coming home. Warm, comfortable dining room is welcoming and Yolanda's excellent cooking is delicious for our breakfast and dinner. Our room is spacious and clean. When we are in Blönduós there is no better place to be.

Staff were incredibly helpful finding us a soldering iron to repair a battery pack. They rang around the neighborhood to find one. Above and beyond assistance
Room was clean, tidy and comfortable

Very nice place for short and longer stay. The host i very friendly. Tea, coffee and cookies are free for guests all day. In the guest house therebis no kitchen at guests disposal but we were invited to have breakfast with our own food to the restaurant and offered hot drinks. Clean and comfortable.

Very friendly staff, decent breakfast. Very clean guesthouse. Great see view, rustic charm. Reasonable price.

We stay there every year for a local festival and so do many Icelanders we recognise.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The hostess was amazing and made us feel so special!! She is not only the host, but also the waitress and chef!! Her cooking is the best we've had so far in Iceland! Quality is what she's all about from when we arrived till when we left!!

Okay, where to start.
The staff are all supremely friendly and kind. Noticing that I was traveling alone, they let me know that if I got lonely I could always chat with them.
The rooms are all very comfortable with soft mattresses and warm blankets. There is wifi throughout the building, which is better than most hotels I know of.
The food is delicious. Breakfast is a simple but tasty buffet, with dinner being a sit down meal.
All in all, this is a fabulous establishment which will be the highlight of my trip.

We rented a really cozy apartment ideal for two couples in front of the sea. The lady from the reception desk and restaurant is a sweetheart. Do not miss the chance to have breakfast and taste her amazing scramble eggs.

We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Really cute rooms, big and tasty breakfast and a really welcoming staff. We also enjoyed a dinner here, it was really tasty, too.
The guesthose is next to the sea and a river, really beautiful. You can walk in a few minutes to the middle of the town.
Unfortunatelly I lost my Memory-Card here and I noticed it when i was too far away to come back. I called the staff of the guesthouse and I guess they turned the whole house upside down and they even found it!
They sent me the card back home, I'm really thankful for that!

Lovely owners, good food, and a location conveniently located very close to Route 1. We stayed here the day before New Year's Eve during a blizzard to cut a rough drive from Akureyri to Reykjavik in half. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and breakfast.

The landscape around the guesthouse is most impressive. Powerful waves hit against the shore and everything is covered with ice, the Arctic must feel similar. I joked about polar bears, later I read in an older newspaper article that just 6 months earlier polar bears were spotted in this area!

Nits: No double-beds are available, and - as in many other lodgings in Iceland - the sulfur odor of the warm water in the bath takes some time to get used to.

Low price, high value! Quite nice rooms and tasty simple breakfast. Perfect place for low budget overnight stays. But be careful, the walls are thin ;)

Reasonable price for a very clean room and facilities in the North of Iceland. The house is creaky but very charming and the host is friendly.
