Magnificent collection of Iranian arts throughout history. Both buildings have remarkable collections. It would take around 3 hours to visit the museum. The design of the main building itself is a beauty.

Home to artifacts that you would never find anywhere else. The footed pottery vessel is one of the first attempts at animation. My favorite piece is the gold cup of King Darius The Great. Foreigners should note that their admission fees to the museum will be higher than the admission fee for locals.

OMG!
No picture, no video, but all are real. You are going to see things since 30 thousand till 200 years ago, including stones, metal dishes, woody weapons and instruments, glasses, skeletons, and almost everything.
You’ll have your ticket through the machine at the entrance. Early-morning-visit is recommended. You need to spend about 3 hours to visit all halls. Old heritage before Sassanid is located in one building while others located in another building. Each has two stories and areas are 4000M^2 and 5000 M^2. If you are interested in civilization and evolution, you’ll enjoy before-Sassanid-exhibition more. And if you are interested in art, designs and so, I would go for another exhibition.
Some museums are around though which you can consider more time to do at the same time.
Staff are respectful and considerate, specifically if you do COVID protocols like mask-covering :) Museum designs are great, and conductive to present humanitarian growth through the eras to approach civilization.

The National Museum of Iran with a number of important exhibits.
The museum is perhaps smaller than might be expected for a nation with such a rich history. However the items that they have are indeed very impressive. There are some great Stone Age exhibits, as well as excellent Achaemenid, Arsacid, and Sassanid exhibits.

National museum of Iran reviews the whole span of history of the land of Iran from Neanderthal inhabitant era to Pahlavi dynasty. Pay attention that all historical objects and monument related to before Arab invasion are presented in Iran-Bastan building and history of the dynasties after this invasion are described in the second building called Islamic era. The museum is open in spring and summer until seven and in fall and winter until five. I highly recommend to gain an overview of Persia/Iran history.

I enjoyed both the pre- and post-Islamic sections. The displayed items were very precious and interesting. There was a doll from 10000 years ago. Just wow.

Много интересен музей! Добре изложени артефакти, но лошо осветление за снимане! Is is a great museum. The presentation to artefact is good but the lightning is not good for taking pictures

A nice collection of objects, artifacts, and tools covering 10,000 years of Iran's history. Allow minimum of 2 hours just to walk the galleries. Minimum of 4 hours is recommended if you enjoy reading the details.

This museum consists of two different parts.
One is about the ancient iran and before invasion of islamic forces to Iran.
Relic and antique objects which were expelored in different historical sites and areas of Iran has been brought to and gathered in this museum.
The second part is about islamic era and after islamic attack to the history and culture of ancient iran.
The new third part of Louvre museum has recently been added to the museum but its brief and temporary. So don't miss it before it ends. May be it never happens to see the originals!

I can't stress enough how great and exciting was my visit to the national museum of Iran! I really wanted to visit this place and finally went there a few days ago, such a glorious building! What a magnificent array of oldest artifacts made by the hands of ancient dwellers of the Iranian plateau! Just take a tour to the ancient Iran's museum and I bet you'll get fixed there looking at some of those ancient masterpieces! From palaeolithic age to the Elamite civilization and Iranian empires, it was such a great joy to go on such a journey! 100/10 suggest!

A Modest but so Interesting Archeological Museum in Tehran. The museum's grand recessed entrance designed by the French architect André Godard, is modelled on a Sassanian palace. Inside you will find a marvelous collection, including ceramics, pottery, stone figures and carvings.
Take your time and enjoy your visit.

It's a perfect museum in iran that you can find object from 10000 years ago to hakhamanesh empire. The best thing that attracted me was SALT MAN 😄😄

Given the location of Iran as one of the birthplaces of Civilization, the museum is full of pieces of immense historical significance. There are good English descriptions of most objects, archeological sites and historical eras.
