Tajrish metro (subway) station in Dr. Shariati st. near Qods sq. is one of the most magnificent subway stations in Tehran, Iran. The dipest station with lots of escalators (almoste 25) and more than 15000 qubic meters of underground space. It Opend in 2012. This station is located in the northern part of Tehran metro line 1 and you can reach to Tajrish, Shemiran, Darband and Niavaran.

Thats the last stop on the red line (if Im not mistaken), a stone's throw to the nearby beautiful, famous mosque + short distance to the mountains. Metro tickets are extremely cheap, equivalent of 1 PLN or 25 US cents. Metro itself is well kept. Interesting thing - carriages are separated / segregated: men travel in front ones, ladies in the back.

You can go to Niavaran street and Shariati strweet by Tajrish metro station. This station has longest stairs.
