Moghaddam Museum House

It's a wonderful place to visit as an old house and also a museum which contains treasure

Must must visit. It's completely off the tourist radar which lends it a certain peace, missing in other parts of Tehran. The noisy streets outside suddenly dissipate into oblivion once you enter Moghadam museum. The gardens are lovely, and the exhibits are rare. The sea shell room left me spellbound.

Try to go for Spring (cherry blossom) or early Fall. Norwuz time should be great because not only you’ll see the gorgeous blossoms 🌸, but also downtown Tehran should be light on traffic then.

There are locks at the entrance for your personal belongings. There are multiple hidden corners to the left when you enter, be sure to catch them.

Definitely great for photoshoots. I recommend around sunset 🌅 or maybe noon in spring. 😊

An artistic and peaceful place! the yard is beautiful and for me the atmosphere and architecture was just like Shiraz 😍

The room with sea things decorated was awesome! Also There is a small cafe but was expensive. The ticket was 10.000 toman (Nov 2021)

A beautiful house in the middle of Tehran. You can see the passion of Mr Moghadam in every corner of the house. It is amasing that he and his wife spends lots of time to gather a valuable collection like this.

A cosy nice house in the heart of Tehran which can offer you peace and calmness in one the most crowded part of the city... It's architecture is also amazing and impress you if you are interested in art and architecture. And there is a nice cafe inside which can be good for spending some time there.

One of the museums of Tehran. An enchanting collection of nice tiles, glasses, paintings, etc. Thanks to prof. Moghadam, there is a tremendously unique collection of art in this beautiful mansion.

I believe every Iranian must visit this house. A collection of traditional and unique antiques! a very quiet place just in the middle if crowded city.

Moghaddam was an archeology professor of university of Tehran from a noble family who inherited family house and with his French creative wife renovated and added some part to their house and before passing away gifted to the university of Tehran to use as museum. It's a great sample of Qajariyan era house with mirroring, painting,tiling and other Iranian decorations. At the same time you can see different objects that dr Moghadam had gathered for his private museum. Spring is the best time for visiting this house, and in its cafe you can have a great breakfast.

A very beautiful old house. From a modern city you will enter a nuce traditional house with an amazing yard and some interesting ancient objects.

it's really worth it a quick visit specially for Iranians. historical, cozy, nice architecture, rich private museum. i enjoyed my time.

A collection of historical objects in a very beautiful private home with a unique Iranian architecture. There is a coffee shop and a restaurant at this place.

A most go place , lovely place , old architecture is amazing, great museum and a place which can take you to 1940s and 50s of Iran , small but it can take easily 2 to 3hrs if u want to go through details.has cafe which is nice, #shajarian n #nazeri music playing at the background which gives the nostalgic feeling.

Fantastic architecture and gardens with mixture of historical art and mosaic. Very enjoyable visit for a very cheap price.
