Orchid Dell Homestay

It was a nice experience to stay in Orchid Dell Homestay in a remote village called Dhotrey. We were really overwhelmed about their hospitality related to every single need of us. The room was cozy and having the best view we ever had in this hilly areas, hot water was always served and of course the good food and beverages won our hearts.

This is a very beautiful homestay. We went at winter time when the temperature was -1°C, they were taking care of us with every possible way. They were providing hot water whenever we wanted, they were providing tea and food with very warmly manner. This homestay is managed by a family where all of them are so caring, friendly and good people from heart. The room and washroom are clean, blankets and bed are properly maintained. We got nice view from our window. The food they have prepared are also very tasty. I still can't forget the taste of that Alu paratha they made for morning breakfast. Overall, it is a pleasent place to stay as offbit destination. Do checkout this property for a hassle-free, memorable, welcoming stay at Dhotrey.

We stayed there two times. Never felt like an outsider in their home! They are great & humble persons. They became my family! Great experience.

Home away from home: Best homestay I have ever stayed

In last week of January we were there and gathered some lovely memories with us. It is a clean specious homestay situated just behind the main road in Dhotrey. Taste of the food was delicious.we are fortunate enough to taste food made by Sonam uncle, 65 years old man, the owner of orchid dell homestay, it was really worthy. We wondered how they fulfill our each requirements in smiling face at subzero temperature. They provide us room heater , bucket of hot water and hot mineral water for drinking even they give hot water bag for me after completing our trekking.Really loved the people of this homestay. We also find our guide to Trek Tonglu Tumling from there, son of Sonam Uncle, who is a Buddhist monk and a good painter guided us for our Trek.

This place is very cozy nice and clean. This house is very new. But the best thing about this place is Mr. Sonam Wangdi uncle himself. He made our stay at this homestay feel like staying at home. He is one of the most humble and nice human being I have ever met in my life. Dhotrey is a small and beautiful village, if I go there again I'll definitely stay at this place.

Apart from the scenic location and a beautiful view of green mountains from room windows, this place touched my heart because of its owner Mr. Sonam Wangdi Sherpa who is an extremely humble and caring human being. He actually doesn't act as an owner but as an affectionate host. He cooks well too and has contacts with local guides and vehicle owners. His presence will make your stay at Dhotrey a memorable one.

I never felt such warmth in any place i have visited so far, Best food,best behaviour,best tea(took 5 cups in one day). Best place to stay.
