Jogeshwari Mandir

One of the best caves in middle.of the city. It has Jogeshwari Devi temple, ShivMandir, Ganesh Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, many pillars, ancient water system. Must visit. India is incredible.

It is located at inside Jogeshwari caves, Gupha Tekdi,Jogeshwari
East, near Western Express Highway.
Jogeshwari or Yogeshwari is a Sanskrit name which means "Goddess Durga".
The temple contain impressions of Goddess Jogeshwari’s footprints.
You can buy flowers, coconut and other offerings from the shop outside the cave.
Regular pujas and havans are performed to the Devi here.
The cave temple is so ancient that the near by area itself is known by the name Jogeshwari.
It is very imperturbable place.
Parking area is not available.

It was fun to go there ,we went in rainy season although, but there are temples in ,a good view to have some photo shoot,and the plus point is it was not too crowded...

Sad part is place requires restoration & governments should remove illegal encroachment which is present beside, above the cave & outskirts of mandir are filled with garbage and dirt.Such religious place should be protected at any cost.

It's one the most well kept secrets of Mumbai. A true world heritage, but it's never been treated with the care it needs, being located in one of the most densely populated regions of the city. You have to see it to believe it. Please take care not to desecrate the peace, sanctity and architecture of the place. One can just wish it remains as it is for eternity and all our future generations, maybe a bit cleaner than it already is. It needs more care and one can't help but think that it's best to keep this place a secret from the crowds.

Jogeshwari Devi Mandir and jogeshwari Devi Gumpha (Caves) are one and the same place I have already given my review on jogeshwari Devi Gumpha....In this Caves there are Temples of Jogeshwari Devi Mata , Ganesh , Shankar .... Music programs are done over here during festival time.... on other days people come here to study....it's a peaceful and Divine place....

It's nice place to see, it's religious place and all can go and see there place ,it's so cool place you don't feel warm inside the tample and it's from ancient time.

In the heart of the city at the junction of the Western Express Highway and the Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR), among the shanties of Prabhat Nagar lies an ancient and forgotten cave. This is one of the oldest known Hindu caves and the second largest cave after Kailas in Ellora. The access to the cave is from either JVLR or Western Express Highway, or the road from Jogeshwari Station that runs through a subway under the Western Express Highway.

Temple carved inside a cave in the mountain. Nice, quiet, peaceful and small temple. Fairly well preserved ancient cave.

Cool and Calm place. You will find many college students come here for study. This place is crowded mostly during Navaratri, Mahashiv ratri and shravan maas.

Very nice temple. You should visit during daytime. Though there lights now. It is not sufficient.
