Lala's cafe

The cafe is down a lane just off Leh Main Market Street. It's worth the small trek just for the cool building it's set up inside. Truly, it's a stunning little building, with a massive sense of history and heritage attached to it. However, the additional advantage is that the coffee and food are EXCEPTIONALLY awesome, made with fresh ingredients, and made with love and care. I enjoyed the experience greatly, and I'll go back often to check out the rest of their menu.

Additional info: The cafe is run by an NGO that's been around since 2003, with their focus on the repair and maintenance of old heritage buildings. The cafe has been around since 2008, and it's run as a non-profit, with all the profits going into maintaining, renewing, and repairing heritage buildings.

Hidden jewel in the old town of Leh. The coffee and cheesecake I had were both delicious 😋 The piece of cake was large enough for three people - very generous. The lady serving us was very friendly.

I really enjoyed the vibes the place gives. The food was delicious and very budget-friendly. Also, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. There is no wi-fi, which is just something to keep in mind for those in need of a place to maybe work a little. Other than that, it is a great place to hang while reading.

This tiny cute place is one of the best places to chill. I mostly order what's available to drink and I'm pretty happy just for their cute balcony top.
Give it a try, you won't lose much.

Very cute café and hidden gem in a very old tiny house where many years ago a monk lived.
In the basement you can see 2000 (?) years old stone carvings - well preserved because they always have been protected from the weather forces. Mind your head. :-) Enjoy the view from the terrace. They have good snacks and sweet things, cold and warm beverages. Nice team!
Plus: I recommend the heritage walk they offer. It starts at nine in the morning but you need to make a reservation the day before. It supports the conservation work in the old town.

Cute cafe, great ambiance in a traditional style building. Good coffee and excellent snacks, I tried the local bread with tuna and chicken. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Leh market, its gem.

Amazing coffee and cake. The cafe itself is in tiny old building. Narrow stairs lead to roof terrace with a nice view over Leh.

LALA’s cafe is good place to visit specially at roof though there is no spacious space at roof but at least 10 person is enough to stay there there tea, snack are excellent

Love love the place! True to the Ladakhi heritage, this place has some great vibes. Their desserts are underrated! Even the mocha coffee is surprisingly better than many of the cafés in Leh.

Great great great place to have coffee or tea. We were 7 friends out there and spend some quality time with coffee. 2 minute far from Leh mall road, one can see the Leh palace from the rooftop of this cafe. Wibes are amazing, people are cool. Will visit next time for sure.

Best cafe in the leh. Amazing food with ladakhi taste. Everything on the menu is amazing. The building is 200 years old and provide a real ladakhi vibe.

Lovely place. I was photographing the heritage architecture of Leh, when a small girl in traditional Tibetan clothes beckoned us to come and have tea.

It's a quaint little cafe away from the main street. I tried their seabuckthorn juice which was delicious.

Coffee was too good.We also tried their Cheese cake.It was awesome.
