Amazing bakery, one of their bakers even learned from Munich’s oldest bakery Hofpfisterei and they are the only Fortune Cookie manufacturer in all of India!

Yazdani bakery is an Iranian cafe (Persian style) opened in the early 1950s. The baking style is still old fashioned and you can find boards in German on the inside.
They are popular for Bun Maska, Mawa cake, Apple pie, Carrot cake etc.
This is one of Mumbai's oldest standing eatery's. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

The small Mawa cakes are to die for..Even the olive bread was good .. It's a small and very old parsian bakery ..

Note : Don't forget to take cash with you as they accept only cash..

Old time bakery with a fairly wide spread of items. We tried mawa cakes, Shrewsbury biscuits and buns. They were good.
Bun maska was the fast moving item there.

Mawa cake is delicious. Although the size may not have changed, it looked smaller after so many years. They arrive at the store at 11 am.

The bun maska at Yazdani is out of this world, the place has retained its old world charm and it was well worth it.

Also the owner was an absolute gent and was kind enough to offer me a fortune cookie. Cheers

This spot is fantastic! The Mawa Cake and Bun Maska are divine! Stumbled upon it through an Instagram reel, and I must say, it could be a hidden gem in Mumbai. Hoping for a rejuvenation and a bit of renovation; this place deserves to thrive once more. Absolutely loved the experience!

Must must visit.
No ac. No wifi. Only beautiful conversations.

One of the last few surviving Irani parsi bakeries left in Mumbai. Nostalgic to visit this place which have been knowing since childhood. The quantity/quality of the breads, cookies, cakes and apple pie is still the same. Value for money and thoroughly enjoyable. Enjoy your parsi chai and butter loaded sweet bun, whilst you can😋😁

Yazdani has been my favorite Iranian cafe since 3 years. I accidentally stumbled upon it one time in 2016 and after that it's one of the places that I religiously go to on all my Mumbai visits. Their tea is so light and refreshing and is a good compliment for the cakes they have. The cakes. Omg the cakes. I am a self proclamed cake enthusiast and this falls right in my alley. It's moist and tasty while not being excessive with the decorations and cream. I mean, if you want that old time good Indian kind of cake and not the colourful and full of cream monstrosity that you get everywhere, go here. The bun muska is a favorite. How can they slap some butter on a regular bun and make it so amazing is something that keeps me awake at night. Honestly, respect.

Overall experience was really good. It's little expensive but it tastes good. When we enter inside the bakery we felt like we are in a black and white era. There is no place to sit. You can buy tea from the near by shop and enjoy it with bun muska.
We got a wrong info from social media that this bakery is going to shut soon. as per one of the employee it's a wrong information.
Must try is bun muska Mawa cake and fortune cookies

Tried the apple crumble, fiery ginger biscuit, bun maska, Irani chai. Do not leave without taking some buns along. Rs 5 for two pav, what is this, 1862? Also, try puffs. There's some stuff that they only sell after 5:00pm, so try going around that time. It's walking distance from the BSE building or gateway of India.

Yazdani Restaurant is one of these places that look like it's been stuck in an ancient time, you're not too sure about the quality of what you are going to eat at first but when you actually have one bite of their Mava Puff, Bun Maska or pudding, you are happy you went there.
The boss is very friendly too, told us a lot about how General De Gaulle stood up with the Indians during their war against the Chinese in 1961.

About us: Yazdani bakery is parsi restaurant where you typically get snacks kind of food and this bakery has freshly made breads and puffs

Ambience: It's a old place with old furniture but it has its own charm which cannot be denied.
I had no problem with the same but yes it's a little dark in their.

Food: I had gone here to have snacks so I ordered mava puff and tea.
1) Mava puff: This was perfect, it was not very sweet and it complimented very well with tea.😑⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2) Tea: This was okay, I felt the was not strong, but I would this is very subjective ⭐⭐⭐

Worth: The taste is good for the price

Overall: This place for light snacks is very good and have heard their bread is also very good.

One delicious bun maska I had there. If you find it costly consider you have paid for the tradition they are keeping up and for the architecture they are maintaining. Wanted to have something else from there. But they have stopped dine in services due to pandemic

Among their baked bread, biscuits and cakes, their bun-maska is to die for!
Each time I visit Mumbai, I make a beeline to Yazdani Bakery!
