March 16, 2024 (Saturday lunch) - As a group of 4, went for a late lunch at 3pm. We were asked to order in one-go as they were closing the kitchen. The service was very quick, and we ate till 4.30pm, by which time we were the only customers for at least the last 30 minutes.
It was eerily silent with our own cutlery sound appearing noisy to us.

The place is expensive, but, the food is phenomenally good!
I went through the menu and made it a point to only order dishes with the 'Chef recommends' tag, while others ordered mostly starters and desserts.
We had the following --
1. Curried Creme soup - It was mild/subtle and lovey. It was creamy but not excessively, it had Indian (curry) spices but not too much, it felt like no soup I have ever tasted before.
I didn't care much for the fried-short-noodle like things on the top, would have preferred to not have them.
2. Ginger punch - A refreshing drink with pineapple, ginger, and sweetened with honey. It had a slight roughness/texture to it and was not watery. Everybody loved it.
3. Lychee blitzer - I just took a sip, felt like a strong lychee juice, probably from an essence/concentrate.
4. Malai broccoli - We ordered this separately in addition to the tandoori platter as my cousin thought/knew this will be good. And boy was it good! I have tasted this item in other fancy places in Bangalore and Hyderabad, but this was better than those.
Very juicy, very ideally spiced, very ideally cooked. It's a must-eat here. While this is usually served with a green chutney (mint and curd), here it additionally came with some mayonnaise based dip. I thought it won't fit well, but actually it did.
5. Tandoori platter - My cousin ordered two of this. We knew this was going to be our main course.
All items were delicious. It had paneer, broccoli, babycorn, potato, soya, and pineapple. Moreover, the highlight was that the spice coating on each was different, forming an ecstatic melange.
The juiciness of the pineapple deserves special praise!
Another must-try dish.
6. Cajun spiced potato - It was perhaps good, but didn't appeal much, unfortunately, compared to the other times. It is similar to the one you get in barbecue places (like Absolute Barbecue / Barbecue nation etc.)
7. Medley of grilled vegetable - Ordered this for it had pesto sauce based mix of veggies, but we were too full to eat it. We got it parcelled. It tasted somewhat normal and okayish that night. Perhaps it might have been better had we consumed it right then and there in the restaurant.

8. Panna cotta - Took just a spoon of it and it didn't appeal much.
9. Paan ice cream - This was excellent with a lovely flavour. It was topped with some dry fruits and nuts, and that really brought the taste close to that of a sweet beeda.

Overall, its a great place you go to experience the taste/gourmet, and is worth the cost. It's a 5-stars place.

What an amazing restaurant!!! I was not expecting such delicacies from a veg restaurant and i was so surprised. I was visiting kapaleeshwar temple and found the restaurant randomly on google which was nearby. It turned out to be an incredible dining experience for us. The food was sooo good and we are going back again!! It was crowded and there’s a reason why it is!! I would suggest this place for anyone who is looking for the best unconventional vegetarian restaurant.

Awesome food, amazing service, superb ambience!! I only missed the sizzler which had a very long wait time so had to re think what to eat but apart from that, all foods were excellent and we enjoyed each spoon, each bite!

Good Vegetarian food. 3rd time I went and it didn't disappoint me.
Liked Panneer Tikka, Tandoori platter, Spicy fried baby corn and Pana Cotta.
Parking is available for 2 cars. Valet Parking is also available. Menu is all veg.
The average per head cost would be 500 to 600.
The ambience is good.

This was an amazing find for us. We randomly came across this restaurant on a random Sunday ride and turned out to be the best one. This is a complete vegetarian restaurant. And you get all the exotic vegetarian options here, be it even mexican. We ordered mexican rice bowl and it was amazing. The grilled momos also had a special flavour to it. The restaurant is on the first floor so its not wheelchair accessible. But this is a kid friendly place as well. Due to which it was bit noisy inside. Parking might be a problem. But there is a person available outside who can help you park the vehicles.

This is such a lovely place, the quality & taste of every food item was top notch. We have been here a couple of times, tried a variety of dishes and everything was great and prepared to the best level.

Their paan ice-cream is a must have! It's their signature dessert.

We also got to meet the chef Mr Shrivatsan, who's a very humble person, spoke well and told us about their protocol in terms of cooking etc.

10/10 without a doubt.

Have been to this place twice and it has been absolutely amazing both times. One of the best vegetarian only restaurants in Chennai. Whatever we ordered turned out delicious. There will be waiting time during the weekends but worth it. Good place for family gatherings. Valet parking available.

Loved the food here. It was really flavourful but not very spicy. The malai broccoli is really yummy and the paan ice-cream was amazing. The tandoori momos were very good as well. Service was friendly and prompt.

Good fine dining veg restaurant. Have been here multiple times. Have always had a great time with family. Some of the dishes we ordered took time. Since we all were chatting and we were a bit early we didn't mind the delay. The staff were courteous and menu clearly mentions items that would take longer time.

They don't do reservations over the weekends. If you don't want to wait it's better you be there before 7.30 pm especially if you are big group.

No complaints with any of the items we had ordered. Everything tasted nice. The accompanying mustard sauce that came along with Malai Broccoli was different and tasted awesome.

Would gladly recommend if you are looking for a good vegetarian family fine dining place.

Most of the items we ordered we yummy. Pan ice cream & broccoli kabab were too good. Lotus stem chilli garlic was also pretty good. A North Indian styled kofta call shyam savery was unique and tasted good. Rotis were soft. Paneer biryani was average. The simple Curd rice was out of the world! Can be crowded over weekends but worth the wait

Excellent food. Good quality North Indian fare. The cheese panneer tikka was really good. They were super busy (and a bit noisy) but we still got a table with a reasonable 15 minutes wait. The food took time to come but they offered us an awesome soup on the house. Would definitely come back.

Visiting Chennai as a tourist and looking for vegetarian options. Found Food Nirvana online. Super delicious food, great service. Very professional manager and waiters. Thought it was very crowded but the manager still worked out a way that we didnt have to wait for long. Waiter quickly took our order and food was delivered very fast. Thoroughly enjoyed our dining at Food Nirvana.

The atmosphere was good. Great food. I would recommend you to try their kids meal if you have a kid, they will love it. The pizza nan was okayish but the cheese garlic nan and paneer butter masala were really good. The creamy soup is one of my favourites. Grilled vegetables with rice is so good.

Food really cant get better!! Awesome taste. A must visit place!! Ambience was awesome and hospitality was great too. A good heart filling lunch for 5 people will cost approximately 3K but it is really worth. One must surely try their Garlic Lotus Stem starter and Schezwan Fried rice which was soo soft and fluffy. The menu is extravagant and the dishes tasted their best. One of the best food experiences in Chennai!
