Absolutely fantastic to deal with. I went to Kashmir and Ladakh for 2 months and couldn't really carry the carpet, and wanted it shipped to my home in New Zealand. This was done really fast. I was worried if it would actually arrive as I spent $1,000 NZD for mine, but I received regular tracking updates and it reached my house in NZ before I got here myself!

There are some incredibly beautiful designs here, and I'd now certainly be happy to shop here again. I purchased the blue one in the images, which is an Afghan-made carpet, and stunning to look at. It is said that a carpet adds soul to a living space, and it most definitely does!

I’m not big on shopping through my travels - usually one curio is enough just as a keepsake or fond memory. But Irfan Bhai at Cottage Emporium came highly recommended and had the most stunning Pashmina, Cashmere and silk shawls and stoles - and at the most stunning prices - I picked up something beautiful for everyone I love. And then some more! We ended up buying so many rare and exquisite kurtas, jackets and stoles at wonderfully reasonable prices and Irfan bhai made us feel at home through it all - not just explaining the origin of the wool and painstaking embroidery on the pieces but also through his hospitality and kindness. We look forward to visiting him again - both for the sheer range of the beautiful things his father has personally curated at his store at prices you find nowhere else - not just in Leh but across India - and also for his generosity and wealth of knowledge.

This family owned business , has an incredible variety of fine stoles, scarves and shawls. Authentic Kashmir crafted pieces in silk blends, specialty pashminas and some beautiful one of designs! We visited Leh, Ladakh, as a family and enjoyed a warm personalized service from a friendly store owners.

The shop has a nice selection of rugs and the owner is very friendly. We found exactly the rug we were looking for for so long. It was sent to our home promptly. Thank you again Irfan.
