One of the less-known Panckedar shrines. Green lush mountains, serene environment and small, beautiful Lord Shiva's temple in the middle of it. The temple is nature-made small cave like structure. This temple is less visited and hence, less crowded but it is one of the most beautiful and mesmerizing sites to be hold. One should definitely visit and bask in the grace and beauty of the nature... 😇

Fifth and Last of Panchkedar.
The only Kedar which can be visited by road vehicle and open for full year (being on low altitude)
Near and on the way to Badrinath.
The temple is very small but vibes are great.

This is the only Kedar which remains open throughout the year for devotees and where you can reach by road. The road from Helang to Urgam Valley is really tricky as it's mostly broken and you've to be very careful while driving there especially when coming downhill. The temple's experience was great as there is mostly no waiting time and you can do your darshan in peace.

Its a great experince , the mandir is under a stone inside a small complex , garvgrah . The pujaris are good hearted and realy devoted , money is not required in this mandir , just take blessings from pandit ji nd have dharshan of shivlingam ( shiv ji ) and your day will be awesome . The whole valleys have a different vibe from the world , nature , remoteness and the mandir has scenery all around it .

The experience was incredible and the scene was quite amazing and breath taking, as in this trek you can see the amazing waterfalls from the top and amazing it is on so much height such a good vibe there and apples are also good there. The ghati was shant(silence) and most importantly kalpeshwar mahadev, I was so delightfull and amaze to see this linga, which comes in panchkedar (kalpeshwar temple).
Must visit and must visit uttrakhand, devbhoomi

It's situated at the top of mountain ranges called Urgam village. You need to take diversion from national highways on the way to Badrinath. The road work is still going on, travel is possible only by safari vehicle, normal sedan/ suv/ hatchback can't climb as the roods are pretty steep and so many hairpin bends.
Don't trave herel after 4PM. There are no street lights on the way. It will take an hour or so to reach the top Urgam village. 10 km from highway road.

Cannot stress this enough, it's one of the most beautiful temples I have visited in my life. So powerful, and so serene and quiet! We even had the privilege of being the only people inside the temple at that time. Beautiful!

Kalpeshwar temple is one of the five PunchKedar. It is the only one out of five which remains open throughout the year. There is no need for trekking as the road is constructed close to the temple. It takes hardly 200 metres from the parking.

Kedarnath is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It holds immense religious significance, especially for devotees of Lord Shiva. Here's a brief history:

1. **Ancient Origins**: The history of Kedarnath dates back to ancient times, with references found in Hindu scriptures like the Mahabharata and the Puranas. Legend has it that the Pandavas, the heroes of the Mahabharata, sought the blessings of Lord Shiva to atone for their sins after the Kurukshetra War. Lord Shiva, however, eluded them and took the form of a bull, hiding underground. When discovered, he dived into the ground, leaving behind his hump. This hump is worshipped as the conical-shaped Jyotirlinga in the Kedarnath Temple.

2. **Construction of the Temple**: The Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is believed to have been built by the Pandavas themselves. Over the centuries, the temple has undergone several renovations and restorations due to damage caused by natural disasters and avalanches.

3. **Spiritual Significance**: Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are considered the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva. It is also one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, along with Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, visited by millions of devotees and pilgrims each year.

4. **Historical Events**: Kedarnath has been a site of historical significance and has witnessed various events over the centuries. It has been visited by saints, sages, and devotees who have come to seek spiritual enlightenment and blessings.

5. **Modern Times**: In recent times, Kedarnath gained international attention due to the devastating flash floods and landslides in 2013, which caused widespread destruction and loss of life in the region. However, the temple miraculously survived the calamity, and reconstruction efforts have been ongoing to restore the area's infrastructure and pilgrimage facilities.

Overall, Kedarnath continues to be a symbol of faith and devotion for millions of Hindus worldwide, drawing pilgrims and tourists alike to its sacred surroundings and serene beauty amidst the Himalayas.

This is the 5th Kedar in Uttarakhand. The temple is situated in a beautiful location and a mesmerizing waterfall near the temple. And the advantage of this yatra is the Urgam Valley with the scenic beautiful landscapes. But the Google Display Photo is shown from Triyuginarayan.

Heaven on earth.

Haven't seen a more peaceful place than this.
Kalpeshwar is so untouched that even during peak season there were hardly any tourists.
If you are up for a short off road trip during your visit to Badrinath or Hemkund sahib, you must visit here.

It is the Fifth Kedar to be visited, in case you are staying true to the sequence of the Panch Kedar circuit. The other four being  Shree Kedarnath, Shree madmaheshwar Mahadev, Sree Tungnath Mahadev, and Shree Rudranath. It is also the only one (of the five temples) that stays open throughout the year.

No words to describe the experience. You just go and feel it. Do the rudra abhishek in the temple, spend some time near fall. Also visit Dhyaan Badri Temple (one of Sapt Badri temples) nearby and do feel the nature and scenic beauty in Urgam Valley.
