Beautiful place. Ai Resort has around ten small single room, double bed huts with attached toilet. Running hot and cold water are available. Rooms have radiator heaters and TV also works. The room service is good and quality of food is also excellent. Loved this place and highly recommend it.

Awesome stay here. Staff is really supportive and polite. View from the resort is superb. Huts are good inside. You will have room heater too in the hut. Visit the place in December to February, you will surely enjoy snow in this time.

Visited this place at the beginning of February with 4 feet of snow all around. Clean n well maintained small cottages with a small outdoor seating porch area. Good fr couples and small families. Not cheap, but then nothing at auli top is. Room heater provided which will keep you warm even if it drops to minus 8 outside. There is no room service and food/snacks /tea is served at the common eating area which is near/close depending on the cottage you are in. Overall a good place to stay cos of the views and the character. Opt for the front row cottages if available. Maintenance can be better as the snow was not cleared for a path which could cause trips and falls.

PS: Though the service is good, the geyser in our room didn't work, which is major inconvenience. Despite reporting it.. The management didn't change our rooms, probably cos we requested a cottage, he didn't want to provide.

Quaint place with excellent amenities. Even when the temperature went as low as -7C along with snowfall, we hardly felt any difference at night because of the room structure and room heater. Also blankets, quilts provided were also good. Excellent room service. Hot water was available 24 hours. Amazing breakfast and dinner with varieties of dishes. Evening snacks - paneer pakora and mix veg pakora were tasty. They also organize snow trek and skiing along with a guide at a reasonable price.

The December weather calls for a cozy stay at this beautiful place that's surrounded with the snow-clad mountains to wake up to. The cottages are really cozy and leaves you with a homely feeling to take away. The service at this place is very nice, the staff is friendly and quick, the place is well maintained. Just a small advice, plant more flowers plant so that it can add to the the splendid view of the place. Thanks for making the stay peaceful

Good place to stay for 1 or 2 days but not more than that because you may get bored. Nice views from rooms, Good service. Good to visit in month of mid November to mid December. Quite chilly atmosphere. You may experience snow fall also during Nov and Dec.

The place was nice. We went there in the last week of December. The food was good. The staffs were very nice. You can take a car or jeap to reach there. Even if you want you can take a cable ropeway from joshimath then take the chair car from Piller 8. If you come to auli you should stay here.

Approx 16 km drive from Joshimath. Road in mid-October was perfectly drivable, not too steep, condition average.

The rooms and suites are spread across the slope. I’ve seen rooms at 2nd and 3rd floor; and they are quite well maintained with facilities like geyser, heater etc.

Restaurant at second floor provides good options. Sandwiches are great; pakoras, chilly chicken are good and come in good sized portion.

A chair lift (Rs.300 per person for to and fro journey; last lift at 5 pm sharp) takes you to the top of the ski area, where the other GMVN property is also there. Panorama view from the top is breathtaking. We could see Chaukhamba, Hathi Parbat, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri and many more snow capped peaks all around.

All together a great experience in the resort and around.

One of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand all over. The snow is attractive in winter and the greenery in summers. It is an all time best with great view from the cabins and homely food. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to escape from everything and live in peace for some time. It is as untouched as it gets with no great tourist attractions and simple mountain life. The pollution is non existent and the area non polluted. However, if the people keep going there, it might ruin the beauty of the place

In true sense the Switzerland if India.
It is not a great spot for people who like to go out for shopping or activities. I would say it is a place away from stressed busy lives... very serene and relish to the eye. You wake up and sleep in the himalyas. The rooms are huge and beautiful. The staffs are supportive.
But the only way to reach the hotel is through ropeway. Car does not go till there. You should reach the joshimath by 5.30 pm, because the last cable car goes at 5.30 pm. The cable car can easily accommodate your luggage, just that you will have to pay for that. But if you miss the ropeway, you will have to take another hotel in joshimath for the night and wait for the cable cars to open again in the morning at 8.30 to reach the hotel.

Switzerland of India, amazing scenary, it is a place to visit not just once but many times in a lifetime. Food and Stay can be costly but the experience is worth the cost. The snow capped mountains, -6 ° freezing temperature give a sense of adventure. You may encounter Fox is you are lucky. Carry warn clothes especially caps and gloves and body warmer. They are mandatory

This Place is quite cold in winter.
I have visited in the month of January. That was my awesome experience with temp of -7 degree.
You ll find resort and many stays here but if compares to other hill station this seems expensive.

Auli is a hill station in uttrakhand, which is just 15km from joshimath.Auli is the place for ski lovers , their is a ski school which organise contest and courses.Auli receives heavy snowfall in the month of mid january to mid march. If you're looking forward for some breathtaking and spectacular views of the great himalayan mountains then this ropeway ride is the best option. It take around 15-20 mins to reach Auli from Joshimath and the ride is worth, Spacious enough for 25 people in one go with good connectivity even it is considered as 2nd highest ropeway in Asia.
