We have taken not one or ten but easily one or two hundred cats to this clinic. From day one. They can be trusted on every level to do what is best for your cat. I get angry when I read “good reviews must be paid “ because this clinic was started by one of the most ethical and principled people we have ever come across. Take a look at all the well fed, pampered, neutered community cats outside the clinic and you will understand how much they care because all that comes out of their own pocket, and much more! We owe so many precious lives saved to Dr Afzal and his team.

Hands down the best veterinary clinic to take your cats to. I only wish I had gone to them sooner. Probably the only place where they will spoil your cat as much as you do. Taken a stray who we foster with a broken hind leg and the experience has been nothing short of a breeze in the park for both Diego and us. Extremely caring doctors who will treat your feline babies with the utmost care - not to mention how hygienic they are. I have been to so many vets for the cats we foster but Doctor Cat is by far the most extraordinary clinic and I'm so happy that we can give the care our cats rightfully deserve because of them.

Took my cat for spaying. The procedure was super smooth and very organised. To know there is a clinic exclusive for cats made us feel so comfortable and confident.

Dr.Sagar explained the procedure patiently. He makes sure all our questions, fears, doubts are heard and he answered all of them in a simple way. Dr.Divya, was kind, warm and she gave us a good understanding of post care instructions and reviewed our cat after 7 days of surgery.

Although, I didn't get to meet Dr.Afzal in person, I did come to know he had performed the spaying surgery. Dany, our cat is family to us and we were greatful to the team for the utmost care and treatment from everyone. Thank you so much for opening a clinic exclusively for cats. 100 percent I would recommend them for the cat lovers.

Excellent pet clinic exclusively for cats only. It's open from 9.30 am to 5 pm. Boarding facility is available for sick cats with individual cages. One day boarding charge is ₹700 per cat with food & water.

We got our female cat spayed here. They took very good care of her overnight. The way they do surgery, you don't have to come back for stiches removal but just 1 checkup. No pain medication or antibiotics were needed post surgery, which was a relief for us and the cat as well. Highly recommend!

This happened today. Me and my husband spotted an injured kitten in the ditch of our apartment, badly injured-heavily dehydrated. With no prior experience, we turned to google and the first name that popped was this clinic. I am so grateful it did. The clinic takes up cases on appointment basis only but they did not hesitate to accommodate us when we told them about our situation. Towards the end, they did not charge us a single penny because it was a rescue case and my heart just melted. Special thanks to Dr. Sagar for handling the situation so professionally and helping us through the process. The best cat specialists in Chennai, I don't know what I'd do without Dr. Afzal and Dr. Sagar. Their approach to treating pets is to keep the cats super comfortable at the clinic, they do not prescribe excessive medications, they keep the treatment plan very simple and effective, and they perform spay and neuter surgeries safer than any other clinic. They handle kitties with such gentle care. One of my community cats had a broken jaw and the doctors managed to fix her up back to normal in just two months. I'm forever grateful. My 4- month old kitten,Pinky, was diagnosed with panleukopenia recently.Chances of survival were very less, but huge thanks to Doctor Cat and Dr. Sagar for proper diagnosis and providing utmost care for her throughout her treatment. Very special thanks to Dr. Deva for his care and keeping us updated on her health on a daily basis.
Pinky has now recovered completely and is healthier than ever.

Doctors have amazing patience. They patiently hear all details which only cat parents can tell them. Then they proceed to make you understand all scenarios and then conduct therapy/surgery, etc. Great experience.

From vaccination to neutering and spaying, and treatment for other ailments, we've had the best experience with Dr Afzal and Doctor Cat for all our cats. He is the only vet who has been able to deal with our male cat who's severely aggressive in a foreign environment. Our younger female cat absolutely loves him. Dr Afzal also patiently answers all our questions and gives practical tips to administer medication, etc. He also puts us at ease the same way he gently deals with cats. His staff/crew is also kind and professional.

Dr. Afzal takes the time to bond with the cat; explain in detail whathe treatment he's going to give the cat; briefs the owners on how to care for their cat. He's helped in adoption of kittens that we rescued. (One of them even went to Spain with it's new family)

He explains the diagnosis and the treatment with patience. Both Dr.Afzal and Dr.Sagar are expert professionals and good at handling cats. They treat them like a child.

Long review:
Visit 1: I live in Vellore. Last year, I adopted a stray kitten (3 weeks old) and he suddenly got sick. His appetite went down suddenly and he puked whatever little food that he had. I took him to a local vet clinic in Vellore. They gave him 5 injections in a day. Situation only got worse.

Then I came to know about Doctor Cat Feline Pet Clinic in Chennai. Hoping to give my cat the best available treatment possible, I travelled to Chennai and took him there. I have to say that they are severely understaffed (possibly the only constructive feedback that I can give to them) for the number of regular clients that they have, and it was difficult to get an appointment immediately. But thanks to the supporting staff and Dr.Sagar, they realised that it was an emergency and took my cat in the very next day.

It was identified that my cat had elevated creatinine levels. Suggesting a possible kidney disease. Dr.Sagar had a call with the Vet in Vellore and identified that it was because of the drug overdose - Meloxicam (Pain killer). They took care him for the next 2 days and he gradually started eating. We have been suggested to keep him on fluids for a while if he was not eating.

Visit 2: Sadly after we took him home, even though his creatinine got back to normal, his condition got worse again. We took him to Dr.Afzal, where it was found that he had a linear foreign body in his intestines and it had to be removed by surgical procedure. It was a complicated process and there was only 50-50 chance of survival. Unfortunately, it was too late and the foreign body already did enough damage to take him away from us. I can say that the Vets did their best to save him.

Visit 3: I have adopted a stray cat again, 2 months after I lost my first. He was almost a year old then. He was mostly an outdoor cat and got into fights with the other cats frequently. We took him to Dr.Afzal to give him the vaccine shots and get him neutered.

I was little bit reluctant to do the neutering surgery but thanks to Dr.Afzal for patiently explaining the pros and the cons, and the entire process. The surgery was quick and successful. Unfortunately, he turned out to be positive for both FIV and FeLV. Must have got the viruses from his fights with other stray cats. The vets treated him for his wounds and asked me to give antibiotics.

Even after 2 months, I used to reach out to Dr.Afzal in WhatsApp in case of any problems or in need of suggestions. he immediately responds even in his busy schedule.

Dr. Afzal has been my cat's vet for 3 plus years now, and he is nothing short of exceptional. I enjoy his professionalism, kindness and the fact that he JUST LOVES CATS. He is patient in answering all your questions no matter how trivial they may seem, very good about explaining what he's doing and what should or could be done. Also when he tells me what can wait for a few more months or for down the line, I trust him completely . The rest of the staff are always accommodating and responsive.
