Well, I went to the Capital Book Depot for an author meet and greet which went really well. Also, I found out that bookstore is pretty amazing encompassing a collection of every book you ask for. I had been looking for a few books for the past few months but couldn't find anywhere. Happened to ask at their store, found all of them at one place.
The owner is very polite and sophisticated and the bookstore is well maintained.

It's the BEST bookstore in Chandigarh. It has the most amazingly varied range of books and stationery. But what sets it apart is how the staff goes above and beyond to help you.

Its one of the best book shop in chandigarh. In addition to the books, they have wonderful stationary collection. All the peeps at the shop are very polite and amiable.

Beautiful place around books, very calming. Best thing is the facility of leafing through the books along with the space yo sit and read and eat if one wants to. Best place for book lovers in the area. Very cosy and homely atmosphere here. Highly recommended.

Best Bookshop here, owners are super kind and knowledgeable. One of the oldest bookshops in Chandigarh, and the only one you need.

Its a good shop, in era when you buy books online, visiting this place gives you good vibes. The sales staff assists you well, they understand you well and also they too know a lot about books.

Amazing collection and the owner is great to talk with and has a lot of book insights.
The collection is so varied, despite the crunch in space. Sad thing is they are closed on sundays.

This place is a hidden cave for book lovers. The store is cramped, as any book store should be and has a huge collection that balances itself between fiction, non-fiction, English, Hindi, Kids and so much more. The gentleman (owner?) who manages it has excellent taste in books and is more passionate about them than the rest of us -- this is an amazing asset to have for a bookstore.

If you are looking at buying some books while at Chandigarh, here's a much loved indie bookstore. Forget the online discounts or Kindle, just please go visit them.

The book shop has a really lovely and patient staff. The collection of books and stationary is amazing as well. The place is truly beautiful.

Amazing place for book lovers. This book store has an amazing collection of books ranging from adults to kids and fiction to non fiction. If there is a book you don't find, you can place an order and you'll get it from there. Prices are reasonable and they don't sell any novel on market price. You can read for free sitting there although there is not much place to sit.

Capital Book Depot is located in Sector-17,Shoping Centre,Chandigarh .It is located near Trafic Lights against MCC building.It is very old Book Depot in Sector-17 . Earlier it was on ground floor but now it has been shifted on 1st floor.This Book Depot is selling all type of books such as litrature books, Magjine,Amar Chitar Katha's ie shot Story Books for children.Besides it Stationery items are also sold here.Nut Text Books are not sold here.

Excellent. Owner and staff members are highly courteous and dedicatedly serving! Other than books, one gets to see many good things over there! Owner is so generous that Once you meet him, you would like to meet him over again.

Not only one of the oldest but also one of the bet book joint in Chandigarh. They are opening a small book café very soon...book and coffee lovers will love hanging out at this place.

The best place to buy a book in Chandigarh. It the overall experience that makes this place better than any other book store. Have a word with the proprietor, and you will realise that you have come to the right place. Not finding a book, let the guy at reception know about it, he will make sure that you get what you are looking for.
