Chidambaram New Moorthy Cafe

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Every dish I tried left a great impression. The ambiance was pleasant, and my food arrived promptly. The staff was ready and willing to assist with any request.
My only small suggestion would be that they avoid standing and watching as a group while customers enjoy their meals, as it can be a bit uncomfortable. Aside from that, it's a fantastic place for a dine-in experience.

I had a pleasant lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance was excellent, and the cleanliness was commendable. I ordered the chicken biryani, and it was delicious. I plan to try their famous porotta on my next visit. The customer service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable.
Parking:
Small parking place. Parking out the vehicle in front of the shop.

I tried a combo called biriyani combo C
WHICH have mutton biriyani ,parrota ,gulabjamun,chicken and beda and a mutton soup must try combo if you are a mutton lover
Yummy on time delivery and cost comes around 399 without delivery charge
Secondly tried tandoori it was also very good
Must try place for mutton biriyani especially

I use to have chicken 65 ,nool parrota ,shawarma before

I tried their Chicken 88 and Parotta...
Chicken 88 is my personal favourite , it was well cooked and crunchy and perfect amount of spices and it comes with a complementary egg curry for a dip and Parotta comes with a complementary gravy which I felt maybe a little bland to my taste and it had little extra cloves taste to it which should be avoided but overall a gud place and regarding car parking it had gud space and they have two seperate family rooms which u can reserve...Overall worth a try.

Good ambience, quality and tasty food, neat polite and timely service.
Always seeing an elite crowd only, so there is no crowd sound.
Not too cost as well as low. It's affordable and worth what they are offering.

Good dining place for a small group and family gathering & dining experience.

The chicken tandoori, parata and gravy are good.

The chicken kari dosa was not good (that one was with lot of eggs in it). We informed staff, service staff took back and didn't bill for returned/rejected dosa.

The nool/thread parata feel and taste was good. Something similar to Ceylon parata, but texture was thread like as the name signifies it.

Also, kothu masala parata was good.

Staff and their service are good.
Food rating 4star this time, if they improve, I would rate higher next time visit.

Parking is on the street, only few cars park in front of restaurant, but valet service would help to park your car.

To be very honest we booked party hall with little hesitation but the support was very good from the management. Food taste and quality was awesome and there was no compromise on the taste till the end of the function, everyone appreciated the service given and enjoyed the food.
I even referred my friends and colleagues to give a try.
My suggestion is to increase the hall capacity and to maintain the AC properly.

Had Seeraga Samba Mutton biryani and veg meals. Both were too good. Highly recommend if you are looking for a non veg restaurant around Anna Nagar in Chennai. Did not like Kola Urundai, I guess that's my personal dislike. Great reception and service right when you enter the restaurant. Bonus: Parking.

It was pretty cool The, Food was amazing especially the Hyderabadi chicken which must try. We loved the overall good experience but the service was slow

Recently I visited Chidambaram's new Murthy restaurant. My friend recommended it to me. Especially I tried the paratha which was very tender and very tasty. Also, we enjoyed chicken biryani and many other dishes etc..,👍🤩

I used to visit this restaurant frequently in Chidambaram during 2007-08. Now it brings me the nostalgic memories 😊. This is not as same as Chidambaram cafe as it’s been modified as per Chennai’s atmosphere. Most of the big restaurants not providing salna / kuruma for Parotta. We need to buy it separately. But thanks to Moorthy cafe for not charging it.

Amazing briyani and parotta, enjoyed every bit of it. Chicken 88 and mutton Paya were also mouth watering, service team and the management team were so kind and courteous. Must visit place in Anna nagar.

Yummy seraga samba Rice briyani, mutton n chicken briyani was yummy, fish finger,prawn 65 n tandoori chicken very tasty. Will recommend to family n friends.

Let me start with their special chicken 88 ‘’ it was mouth watering ♥ i loved it ‘’ must try . Usually i dont eat parotta in restaurants but here it was the best. Non-veg lovers best spot . They serve hot water so warm and healthy after food . I have visited more than 5 times and more to go

I just loved all foods we ordered and the top one was chicken fried rice, Brownie and Nool Paratha. The chicken fried rice was so tasty and filling.Noll paratha was really good and kadai gravy took it to the next level.We also loved the grilled chicken which was so good and tenderness of the chicken made me fall for it.Lasty the brownie this gives the completeness of the entire meal.

Awesome place for lunch n dinner...Had amazing tandoori chicken... May be the only place to serve Kal Dosa for lunch.... They give gravy complimentary... Which tastes awesome...Kalakki was too good with great pepper..... Had paya with idiyappam..which was average.. parotta end ghee parotta was too good .. some Amazing brownie sizzlers also available

Varieties of food are available at affordable price. Especially the nool parotta with kadai chicken is one of their best dishes 😋. The taste of biriyani can be improved lightly. Overall good taste and ambience 😊

Chicken 88 with gravy is so delicious and a must try. Please note it might be addictive to thrive for it to eat again if u are coming from long distance
