Amazing place. It's difficult to reach the top. It's mostly Rocky terrain but you get cool breeze all the way. And it's really beautiful in the top. Also very prayerful. I really enjoyed my Trek up there.

Nice experience, the hill climbing is very thrilling and funny. The cloudy atmosphere make us very close to the nature, the view from hill top is very 😍

Nice place to visit......it is slightly difficult to reach at the top of the hills.... Because you have to walk through rocks ....so don't go there in rainy season....but it is not too hard...
But when you reach at the top... seriously you will get some good scenery....

Nice place for family to spend over.Excellent place to visit in Vagamon. Nice ambience foggy climate even at evening time. No entrance fees you can visit the place any time. It will be a better place to visit and have a good memorable time.

Most beautiful place which I recently visited

We were doubtful if we should go there or not as we were tired after seeing so many places. But if we had come back without going there that would have been the biggest regret. We didn't know the way from half way we decided to go back. Finally we went ahead. When we reached the destination all of a sudden it was covered with mist and couldn't see anything ahead. Beautiful place.

Great place for a view! Get ready for a steep climb. It's about 1.5km each way,but the views are worth it!

I don't think there are any words to describe this place. It takes a trekking of 1.2 km to reach the spot. However, the views are just breathtaking & mesmerising. The breath of fresh air and the splendid natural beauty of layers of greenery filled mountains will remain a memory for a lifetime.

Beautiful place. Went for a long drive here. Good place for photography. Just be careful during fog. Roads are a little narrow and they are curvey. Good shops and restaurants also available for snacks, chai and food.

Awesome trekking route with Natural trails. 14 crosses to the top of the hill. Difficulty level is medium. Excellent views especially during mansoon.

Plenty of parking availble at the base, from there u have to climp up. Carry enough water if u r planning on summer. though u can get bottled water on the top.

At a distance of 6 km from Vagamon Bus Stop, Kurisumala is a sacred mountain situated in Vagamon, Kerala.

It is one of the popular places of pilgrimage in Kerala, and among the top Vagamon places to visit.

Kurisumala is one of the most prominent pilgrim centers for Christians in South India. The church comes under the Diocese of Neyyattinkara.

The name 'Kurisumala' comes from two Malayalam words, 'Kurishu' meaning cross and 'mala' meaning mountain/hill.

Earlier known as 'Kondaketty Mala', the history of Kurisumala can be traced back to the 1940s. On 27th March 1957, Fr. John Baptist OCD, a Belgium missionary climbed the summit with a small group of parishioners and established a wooden Cross.

The humble farmers, George and Esthron resided in a cave on the summit and experienced the wonders and healing power of the Cross.

That marked the beginning of the pilgrimage. Due to bad weather, the wooden Cross was partially damaged, and a 24 feet (7m) high concrete Cross was established in its place.

The renowned Christian pilgrim center of Kurisumala attracts hundreds of devotees from far and near during the Good Friday week.

The devotees climb up the hill in faith carrying the wooden crosses.

The peaceful Monastery at the top of the hill, the silence of the hills, the cool mountain air, and the lush green landscape are all soothing to the soul.

Kurisumala Ashram is situated at the foothill of the mountain.

Heaven, low visibility when I visited, nice trucking, In my opinion rainy season is the best time to visit the vagamon, u got more foggy and cooling environment. Special mentioned that the restrooms are better maintained and cleanvi like it.
