#FoodShaukeen #DialogueInTheDark #UnforgettableExperience

Some wiseman said "You can't study the darkness by flooding it with light". Dr. Andreas Heinecke, the founder of Dialogue in the Dark has started this masterpiece in 1988 after an encounter with a blind journalist, who changed his perception towards this differently abled life. Right from stepping into darkness till you step out, every single thing is an unparalled experience and a sneak peak into their world. Move beyond sight is what they say by awakening your rest of the senses.

The main concept is to make us step into their world and feel the world as they do(so sympathy turns to empathy) and understand how capable they are without sight, and that is something we heavily rely on! Our guided tour into darkness showed us how our other senses are equally important to find out anything/anyone by touching/feeling the object, by the smell and hearing.

We had a dine-in experience too where they follow a layout for us to get seated and serve following that. They explain you what you can expect in the dish and how to navigate around the plate and the table. We run into servers going wrong sometimes, even after we have visibility of what has to be done. Hats-off to these guys ensuring our experience completed with zero defects. Speaking about the food, they have 4 combos (Italian,Desi,Oriental and Paratha) and each combo is priced at 599++ be it veg or non veg. Eating at this Dark restaurant doesnt only give you experience, but also ensures you will love the delicacies. The portion sizes for each combo may not tummy-ful you, but when such experience is coupled with such great food - your buck is surely justified. This is one experience where I might have described less about food and more about place, because that is what you get here - "Unforgettable experience".

Oh, did I mention that they conduct workshops for corporates (or anyone in large number) as part of team building activities? Can't wait to try this out!!

This doesn't end here, management of DiD constantly upbrings Visually impaired people by training them in different aspects and make a buck for their living. Contact the team on how well you can do your part in this.

Do not miss visiting this place and lose such amazing experience. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Great experience. It is run by blind people only. A Big Salute to the idea and their spirit. We will come to know the value of vision and what visually impaired people go through in daily life. They have both Exhibition tour and Restaurant. A guide will be there for us who are very supportive. We must use our senses carefully for Exhibition tour which consists of some activities. Coming to food, they have a fixed menu for veg and non-veg,and don't expect much. Starter was good but food was not worth the price. They charge 630rs for Restaurant, 630rs for Exhibition tour and 1040rs for both combined. Worth the price for this kind of experience.

Undoubtedly this place gives thrilling experience.Atleast once, you shall have to visit here.
This place not just benefits you but also the staff as the staff who works here are the blind people itself. This place is empowering blind people by employing them. This is not merely felt if you read. For a while, you live the life of a blind person.Although it's 600 for veg buffet and the taste is average, you cannot complain as it's the experience you need to matter about. We spend lot of money on many places but that might not serves a cause but visiting here, it's like you did a good thing and helped for a cause. So don't miss it.

It's an fabulous concept. I really loved this place because of its concept and I suggest everyone to visit this restaurant which gives you a different and an amazing experience dinning.
The concept is get know to blind or disable people more closely. No phones or any luminous things like watch are allowed inside the restaurant they will be put safe in locker. It is very dark inside the restaurant, you can't even see your hand. You'll get both veg and non veg food and the task is you have to identify what you have got as the menu won't be disclose and finish it. There are other fun activities also like cricket, maze etc that too in dark. People who serve are also blind and fitted with advanced technology tool.
It's a must have experience and must visit place.

Only 3 of this kind in India, 2 in Hyderabad and 1 in Chennai. A different place and a different experience. A place where you can see nothing, The food served even tge hand even if placed near to your eyes. Food is amole for a person. Rate is 630 per person. The people who serve food are visually impaired. Try once this ll be good.

This is one of the best experiences that anybody who loves food will want to have! The simpleton staff will assist you at every footing, like literally and you will leave the place truly satiated not just with the food, but with the overall experience.

A dialogue in the dark offers a completely new experience when it comes to dining with your loved one. The restaurant serves its food completely in the dark and encourages you to rely on other sense than that of sight.

You are guided by your waiter to the table and from there on you completely rely on your taste buds and sense of touch as your only sources of information. You and your loved one will be completely blown away by this experience as you both will have to rely on one and another through the meal.

Can be experienced once, the life of people who are visually challenged is not that easy as we think. The few hours of complete darkness makes us realize what it is like not to see the light. At one point of time I just wanted to see the light. The food was delicious. It was a good experience. We all should be thankful for being able to see the world

In a few words I would say : Trained blind people show you how their day to day world is like.Total darkness and survival using just all the other senses apart from sight.

A beautiful experience. Eyes are the gateway to experience outer beauty and they make your eyes to black. You start looking inside. Loved he experience of eating in dark and seeing how my other senses helped me move on. The best part was the final suspense you get at the end.

Makes one appreciate the gift of eyesight. I think the food tastes better than what it would, had I been able to see it. You are helped by a waiter into pitch black and seated. You need to feel the plate, the food in it, and eat; absolutely unaware of your surroundings. I initially thought that the waiters have some sort of "see in the dark" goggles. That couldn't have been farther from the truth when the waiter led me back to the entrance after I was finished with "welcome back to the light, Sir". Breaks one's heart to know that the entire staff is blind.

You will feel so amazed of this experience and come our with a happy heart. The staff in here are so cooperative. Of course they should be but we will experience the value of people and helping people.

Been to this place with my besties. A place that activates all your senses except vision. We had been taken to pitch dark room where a person will guide us through the entire exhibition tour and lets us do some activities in complete darkness. Would recommend everyone to go there once to know it yourself. Overall Amazing experience.

Incredible experience. Makes one appreciate the wonderful gift of eyesight. The staff was warm and welcoming. Loved every minute of the tour and the dining experience. Special thanks to Devilal, who was our guide in the maze, and to Shankar, who assisted us with the food. Such positive and lively people. Left with a smile on my face. :)

I loved my experience in Dialogue in the Dark. Above all I respect the initiative taken by the organisation to start a concept like this. The staff are very humble and cordial. They have they best serving team. Food is good, but the best part is the experience you get here and the interaction you have with the staff. Its really nice talking to staff here and to know about their life. I would like to mention Mr. Vijay who was our guide during my visit. He has one of the best voice and one of their best staff. One can try the activities here which are done during day time. I went to this place for dinner. And it's worth being there. I ll definitely visit the place again for the various activities and games.

It is a MUST visit place for anyone who visits Hyderabad. I would not reveal much about this place lest it spoils the surprise. It will be an experience which you would have not experienced before. Shankar, the person who served us food was simply brilliant. The grace and the finesse with which he attended the guests was heart warming. The fact that he can't see was only known later. I'm sure the experience is going to be etched in your memory for a long long time.
