Very nice place, once to visit for sure the place dates back to the ancient history of the Mughal empire bin Hyderabad and the architecture is amazing. During the early seventeenth century a strong cotton-weaving industry existed in Golconda. Large quantities of cotton were produced for domestic and exports consumption. High quality plain or patterned cloth made of muslin and calico was produced. Plain cloth was available as white or brown colour, in bleached or dyed variety. Exports of this cloth was to Persia and European countries. Patterned cloth was made of prints which were made indigenously with indigo for blue, chay-root for red coloured prints and vegetable yellow. Patterned cloth exports were mainly to Java, Sumatra and other eastern countries.Bala Hissar Gate is the main entrance to the fort located on the eastern side. It has a pointed arch bordered by rows of scroll work. The spandrels have yalis and decorated roundels. The area above the door has peacocks with ornate tails flanking an ornamental arched niche. The granite block lintel below has sculpted yalis flanking a disc. The design of peacocks and lions is typical of Hindu architecture and underlies this fort's Hindu origins.Naya Qila is an extension of Golconda Fort which was turned into the Hyderabad Golf Club despite resistance from farmers who owned the land and various NGOs within the city. The ramparts of the new fort start after the residential area with many towers and the Hatiyan ka Jhad ("Elephant-sized tree")—an ancient baobab tree with an enormous girth. It also includes a war mosque. These sites are under restrictive access to the public because of the Golf Course.

The marvelous creations of the ancient engineers who didn't even appeared for engineering entrance test that's the only reason it is still standing. By visiting here we can enjoy the ideas that used in ancient past to create such a big fort during that time without any heavy machinery. On the to of the fort we can also see how they carved the stone to channel rain water to the outlet. Even how they designed their toilets at that time and the designs on the doors and gate ways. Also the secure feeling that the fort gives us is very important. One must go there at least once.

Bala Hissar, also spelt Bala Hisar, is a historic fortress located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. First mentioned by 7th-century explorer Xuanzang, the fort was used as a royal residence for the Durrani Empire since December 1747, when Ahmad Shah Durrani conquered Peshawar.

In the King's era. A warning clap standing right below the sounding roof could alert the guards all over the fort. Visitors are often seen trying this, as this is right in the entrance.
Acoustics methods was no wonder a gift descended to us from the Ancient times.
Thanks.

Bala Hissar Darwaza is the entry point of the Golkonda fort. It's hidden behind a wall and you have to take a right turn to actually see the Darwaza. It's strategically made that way in order to protect the entry point of the fort from the invaders.

The prime entrance of Golconda fort. Which was cleverly designed with enough cover in-front so the enemies can’t use their full potential to unlock it. Further to keep the fort safe, they have rock tunnel built in on the roof to pour hot oils to keep off any enemy.

This is the main entrance for 'The Golconda Fort' .
Just after entering this gate...there comes a dome which has a unique attribute whereby if u clap once....it will be heard many times as if like a sound system works🤩
Pay a visit if you are nearby or coming to Hyderabad
Worth spending free times

It is in the fort complex itself.

Golkonda Fort is a grand structure built on a hill of altitude 400 feet with a circumference of 7 km displaying the beautiful fusion of Hindu-Islamic style of architecture. Its wall comprises of 8 gates and 87 bastions each one reaching the height of 50-60 feet. There are three powerful consecutive fortification walls each within the other. The first line of the wall contains town, the second line is a double wall that runs around the foot of the hill on which the citadel stands. The third line is further up the hill lying within the second comprised of masonry and natural boulders. Situated with the fortress are the dwellings of the queens and princesses and homesteads of their retainers.

The dazzling fort is quite famous for its royal apartments, parade grounds, numerous halls and mosques. Amongst the eight gates, Fateh Darwaza is the main gate as the victorious march of King Aurangzeb proceeded through it. This door is 13ft wide and 25ft long and was made up of steel spikes to protect it from elephants. The Balahisar Darwaza which was built using the Nawabi style and culture is another magnificent structure. Today, only the eastern gate can be visited by the tourists. The Golkonda fort is situated on a hilltop and has superb airing which is what made life simpler for the royals during summers.

The main entrance to the fort of Golconda. Made very strong with a curtain wall protection from outside to prevent enemies finding the entrance gates. From here sounds will reflect upto darbar hall atop the fort. Nagina bagh and other important places follows from this entrance.
