Bombay YMCA Central Branch

One of the best places I've ever stayed at. It's not a luxurious place to stay per say but offers everything you need. It's a heritage building and the location is super convenient for tourists. Gateway of India, marine drive and Colaba causeway are just a walking distance away. The food is very basic but prepared under basic hygiene regulation. The service of all the helpers are commendable. I've stayed there both, as a resident and as a guest and loved the experience. If you're visiting as a guest, you'll even have car parking.

Stayed 2 times and never regretted the stay.
Well maintained budget friendly as compared to area and also free complimentary breakfast.
You will never regret of staying there as you can easily find restaurants and near to Taj Palace and Gateway of India which is hardly a Km away..

Had a very comfortable stay at the
YMCA in Colaba. Great location and very helpful staff. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Mumbai and looking for a place to stay.

My review is based only on the activity part as I never used the hostel facilities.
Their are various classes that take place here such as violin, guitar, keyboard, table tennis, basketball etc. Hell even typewriting classes are found here. The activities are inexpensive and value for money. I would highly recommend joining this place

It is a pretty nice boy's hostel. The rooms, the service all are great and up to the mark. The food is awesome and affordable in price. It's the best place to live if you are a student and looking for affordable accommodation...

It's the best place for anyone who is looking for a hostel in South Mumbai. They have recently renovated and the staff is also good. I have checked other options as well. Staying here since August 2016

For anyone who is looking to move in, let me share the charges:
1. Four sharing room - Rs. 325 per night
2. Two sharing room - Rs. 375 per night

Mess charges (yet to be finalised)
1. Breakfast - Rs. 30 per meal
2. Dinner Veg - Rs.60 per meal
3. Dinner Non-Veg - Rs.80 per meal

Deposit (Refundable):
For room - Rs.10,000
For mess - Rs. 3000

Note:
- You have to pay room rent in advance for the entire month. Above rates are only for calculating as per no. of days in a month.
- Basket ball and Table tennis are included in the room rent charges
- Every 6 months you have to extend your stay by providing permission from YMCA to let you stay and an affidavit supporting the permission.
- You cannot stay in YMCA for more than 2 years

Auditorium has good acoustics. Very clean and well maintained.
Homely atmosphere. Heritage building but modern interiors e.g. toilets etc
Very well located - walking distance from Gateway of India, Museum, Jehangir Art Gallery, Cooperage, Mantralaya, Colaba Causeway, etc

Hostel and stay accomodations available. Very nicely maintained place with friendly staff. Food is available for people staying in. Has sports and other activities available on taking membership, these include table tennis , basketball, football, guitar , piano , karate , and typewriting classes. Fairly connected to other places . Lies at very start of colaba causeway.

There was a fairly large boardroom in which all the comic artists displayed their works. The washrooms in the first floor were clean and neat. Location : Colaba. A little further than CST station.

Amazing place with amazing people around. Quality rooms for reasonable prices available with different activities (sports) within the campus. Loved the service and the experience here

Wonderful place. It has a Gym and a good rooms to stay. Very courteous staff and Assistants. Very close to the famous colaba causeway and Gateway of India

Excellent place to host events. Easy to navigate. Very nicely maintained and kept clean. Has a lot of facilities.

Very good service and staff. I love going there for several reasons. One is they have good facilities for sports.

Basic and good amenities as you can expect from YMCA in aristocrat and pulsh area of Mumbai, must be a member of ymca to avail privilege.
