Manuhaar...a authentic Gujrati resto which serves Gujrati and rajasthani food...this place has really good vibes once you enter and it gives you feel of having food at your own home.

The ambience of this place is amazing as it portrays the paintings of rajashtani and gujrati people. The tables are decorated beautifully.

So we started with our thali and it was a big task to eat all the items..but the challenge was on. They served us the kalakhatta sharbat and chaas which is a must when you eat gujrati food. They have different menu for lunch and dinner everyday. Only the daal churma remains the same. Food quality and taste was really amazing and gave me feeling like I am having food at home. Overall a best place to have thali at 1550 with one of the best and tastiest food and I am sure you can challenge yourself if you can finish it all.

Best Gujarati Thali in the most elegant ambience in Mumbai?
This is the place to be.. the decor, the staff, the service, open kitchen, fresh food and just about everything at this place is super spectacular!
Although, it is unlimited Thali, there is so much that you practically will repeat just very few items because the food is too much and too good!
Variety of flavours is the best about it👌

Everyday there is a different menu and also different menu daily for lunch and dinner. Dal Bati, churma, shrikhand remains consistent however.

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Let's jump to the list of items I had!

1) Dal Baati, Masala Bati (Stuffed with Peas, Cashewnuts, Raisins)
2) Fansi choli veggie
3) Tameta Bataka nu Shaak
4) Paneer Masala
5) Dal tadka
6) Gujarati Kadhi (wow!)
7) Shrikhand
8) Angoori Rasmalai
9) Malpua
10) Dahi Vada
11) Ajwaini Paratha
12) Puri
13) Roti
14) Moong Dal Khichdi
15) Rice
16) Khaman Dhokla
17) Aloo Vada
18) Vegetable Pakoda
19) Chutneys & Pickles
20) Salad
21) Rose Sherbet
22) Chaas

Phew.. this place is worth a visit for sure, take the experience!

It was an incredible experience.
We visited here on Sunday and hence reserved a table in advance. We reached by 1pm and it wasn't crowded then.Mr Amit and Ms.Saloni were really kind in their approach and made us feel comfortable.Special mention of Mr. Prashant who served us with great love and warmth.Mayur and other servers were polite and kind too.Everything was natural. No pretense or fake behaviour. From time to time we were asked if we'd enjoyed the meal. Each and every dish served ,was lip smacking. The servers did not rush or burden us.They gave us our own sweet time to order unlike some places serving thali, where someone stands over your head and makes you conscious all the time.At the end,The Head Chef also asked us if our experience was a pleasant one.Speaks a lot about the place as to how much they value customer service.
The ambience was amazing and soft music was being played.I relied on Google reviews and visited this place.I wasn't disappointed.
Definitely recommend them.
Thank you Manuhaar!

My second visit to Sahara Star and everytime I go there, the hospitality and the experience just gets better. My previous visit was at Mabruk and this time around at Manuhaar. Relatively new at Sahara Star, this restaurant provides a perfect melange of the Gujarat and Marwad delicacies served in a single thali. Have had thalis at a lot of places but I would personally rate Manuhaar as one of the best I have tried till date.

Located at Level 00, Manuhaar is located right besides EAST. Warm welcome as soon as I entered Sahara Star where I was escorted to the restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely, black chequered flooring. One of the glass shelves displaying puppets from Rajasthan. Carefully chosen show pieces placed on one side of the walls and some beautiful paintings on the other side.

Coming straight to the Thali menu they had for the day -

Welcome Drink - Chaas, served in a Kulhad. Next served on the table was a Salad and Papad platter.

Sweets were served on table - Kalakand, Shrikhand and Dahi Wada. Kalakand and Shrikhand was to die for, stunning.

Next as Farsan - We were served Mutter Ghugra, White Dhokla and Khandvi. Personal favorites for me - both dhokla and Khandvi.

Moving to the Rajasthani signature dish - Dal Baati Churma, Baati dipped in ghee, poured some Daal on top and Churma given on the side in the main dish.

Now turn of the mains, 5 vegetables. Care was taken to include all different types so as to cater to everyone's tastes and preferences - Paneer Shimla Mirchi, Panchkuti (5 Mix Vegetable), Corn Palak, Gatte ki Subzi and Aloo Jeera. I loved vegetables but my personal favorites were Gatte ki Subzi, Paneer Shimla Mirchi and Aloo Jeera. Simply outstanding.

The rotis included Phulka Roti (fluffy soft ones), Missi Roti and Puri, so again choose as you may like. We were also served the Yellow Dal Tadka and Gujarati Kadhi. I personally am a big fan of the sweet Kadhi, we make it at home as well. It's quite different from the regular yellow kadhi which non Gujarati people are used to having. Would recommend all to come down to this place and try the Kadhi.

Finally as rice options, they have steamed rice and masala khichdi. To end the meal on a sweet note, you are also served Moong Dal Dry Fruit Halwa loaded with ghee.

The thalis here as well as the glasses have golden finishing touch and it gives a very royal feel when you are seated at the table and about to begin your meal. Thalis are priced at 1750+ per person. The staff is extremely courteous and professional. A special mention for chef Parmeshwar from Rajasthan who had prepared a delightful meal for us. Fantastic meal, fabulous hospitality and wonderful experience to sum my visit to Manuhaar. Fingers crossed and hoping to come back soon to Sahara Star!

Manuhaar is located in a very well known Hotel Sahara Star, located near Domestic Airport, Vile Parle East.

On the Table -

There was 2-3 Different types of Chutney's and 2-3 different types of Achaar and Desi Ghee, so that if someone wanna use anything they can. I mainly used Ghee on Phulka and Bajra Nu Rotlo.

This restaurant features a lovely sit down seating space with really cool and traditional decor items nicely donning the interiors. The unlimited thaali system served at a price of Rs 1600 approx on weekdays is a real real treat. Even the cham cham and Gulab jamuns are made in-house. Both make absolutely delectable desserts. This place is a must visit esepially with your family.

It's a Gujarati and Rajasthani mixed thali restaurant. A Vegetarian 5star restaurant to be specific at the basement level of one the most exquisite hotels in Mumbai, the Sahara Star. The menu is nothing new or different from the other Rajasthani thali restaurant chains we have in shopping malls or other food courts. But what sticks out is the taste, the quality, the authentic flavours and ofcourse the service. I was served by Deepak ji and the waywardnes with which he and his team served was just unparallel. In the end, very generously, he even got us a cake on the house!! for my Aai's birthday. Thank you people at manuhaar. We had a great time

Visited this restaurant due to its good ratings and it was a very nice experience. The food was great and the waiters did a fantastic job at explaining each dish as they served so you knew what you were consuming. Usually meat eaters this was a new experience and of course not all dishes suited our palettes but on the whole I loved it and was an experience of flavor.

No matter whatever the occasion is, I will always continue enjoying delicious food like this all by myself. 😄
I can't count how many times I visited here, but every time I stepped in, I experience taste of purity , authentic, traditional delicacies made with such a precision, pure ghee, fresh ingredients, right spices.
I won't forget masala dal baati and churma having light cardamom flavor. Besan Gatta was dipped in flavourful thick gravy. Akhrot (wall nut) halwa was loaded with lot of ghee, shrikhand was not sour and not over sweet either. I wish I could have some place in my stomach to eat 4 to 5 bowls each of those.
Fantastic service so quick. Food served is hot and fresh.
I packed lot of memories every time I leave from here and ofcourse heavy weight stomach. 😅

Excellent Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine.

This is a new restaurant within the Sahara Star hotel with excellent Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly, explaining all the dishes in detail, providing some background also for those who are not familiar with the Indian cuisine. I have spent one week in Mumbai, and this has been the final meal to my trip. Very much enjoyed it along the sweet starters and dessert not visible on the picture.

Located near the domestic airport in Vile Parle, Hotel Sahara Star hosts many specialty restaurants under its roof, and Manuhaar - The Vegetarian Thali Restaurant is certainly one of them. Manuhaar specializes in serving an all-vegetarian thali which is the perfect mélange of cuisines inspired by the two slates – Gujarat and Rajasthan. A tribute to the rustic simplicity of the cuisines of the two slates, the thali is an extraordinary spread comprising of the best vegetarian delicacies and is the best way that one can enjoy and experience a scrumptious Indian meal.

The interiors reflect the subtle taste of cultural authenticity, while also a gourmand’s delight and a place to satiate your cravings with some authentic, soulful food. From handpicked antiques to brass artifacts to classy wooden décor, to the cozy leather couches and traditional hand paintings adorning the walls, Manuhaar certainly felt very warm and welcoming.

Well, the service is no exception here. A special mention of Mr. Raj who was friendly, kind, polite and very courteous. He ensured that our meal was going well and had a good knowledge of the dishes on the menu. He also came every now and then to check in case we needed anything. Great job!

The unlimited thali is priced at Rs. 1550 and is certainly a go-to place for foodies who’d like to experience the very best of the cuisines from Gujarat and Rajasthan. Trust me, it certainly is a delight for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike! So, here’s the brief of our meal:

We started off with a welcome drink of Khus Sharbat which is a sweet, earthy taste. It certainly tickles your taste buds and is uber refreshing. Next, we were treated to Chaas (buttermilk) which paired perfectly with the dishes on the menu.

From the farzan section, we had the Khaman Dhokla, Corn Paneer Tikki and Pyaz Kachori, all of which were extremely delicious. The Khaman Dhokla had savory, sweet and spicy flavors, with a soft and spongy texture. The corn Paneer Tikki and the Pyaz Kachori were delicious too!

The thali comprised of 3 types of Dal/Kadhi varieties – Dal Bhati Churma, Yellow Dal Tadka and Rajasthani Kadhi, all of which were very different and unique in taste, texture and flavours. Well, the Dal Bhati Churma is to die for and was our all-time favourite! Pro Tip – Add a bit of the garlic chutney for a tad bit of spiciness and flavour and the churma for a bit of sweetness.

The vegetable gravies that were part of our thali were Paneer Nagori, Undhiyu, Papad Mangodi, Kaju Karela and Gatte Ki Subzi. We paired this with jeera matter pulao, steamed rice (you can add some ghee for extra flavour), puri, phulka and missi roti. Well, though each of the vegetable preparations were made with love and had simple and authentic flavours, our favourites were the Undhiyu and Gatte ki subzi. Well, we were certainly spoilt for choice with all the variety!

To end our meal on a sweet note, we had Shrikhand, Kalakhand and Akhrot Halwa (Walnut Halwa). While the shrikhand was silky smooth, creamy and topped with dry fruits, the Kalakhand was a sweet and delicious milk cake/barfi which just melted in the mouth, both of which tasted absolutely divine. However, our FAVOURITE was the Akhrot Halwa which was prepared in desi ghee and had a generous amount of nuts, adding to the taste and texture. It was sinful!

On the whole, we totally enjoyed every bit of the thali and the meal certainly holds a special place in our hearts. A must visit to experience the very best of Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisines in one meal!

Sahara Star hotel has bought together a sumptuous array of delicacies from across the globe and recently they have introduced Manuhaar, the taste of tradition.
Manuhaar is a perfect blend of Marwadi and Gujrati delicacies in a single thali.
This gourmet thali consisted of a non ending list of 21 items.

Welcome Drink:
We were welcomed with a cold delicious glass of Chaas.

Farsan:
To start with we were served with 3 types of farsan - Khaman Dhokla, Mattar Samosa and Patra. All were just delicious combined with the chutneys served. A perfect way to start the 3 course meal. And a bonus to the farsan was dahi wada.

Vegetables and Rotis:
A bite of every sabzi makes you wander in the lands of Gujrat and Marwad. The sabzis served were paneer hara methi, bharwan parwal, rajasthani panchmela, pyaz sangri, sev tamatar and gatte ki sabzi. My favourite amongst the list were bharwan parwal, pyaz sangri, sev tamatar and gatte ki sabzi. They were purely authentic.
Hot roti, bajre ki bhakri and puris were served with your favourite vegetable.

Dal/Kadhi and Rice:
Surti Dal was served with corn pulav and steamed rice. The cherry on the cake was dal bati churma with 2 types of batis.

Sweets:
To end the meal, we were served with shrikhand, rasmalai and badam halwa. Rasmalai was my favourite amongst all.

Ambience and Service
Manuhaar's interior is inspired by the simplicity of the states and reflect the subtle taste of cultural authenticity. The service was spot on. The staff always made sure our plates were never empty and served food with a smiling face. They had taken care of all safety precaution from masks to hand gloves. You feel homely here with every item you taste to the people surrounding you.
I enjoyed every minute here and planning to visit this authentic gourmet again.
