This Mahadev temple is unknown to many. It is situated at the road of the Naval and BARC Colony in Chembur. The ambience of the temple is very nice. There is a positivity in the temple. There are many occasions when they decorate and organize different themes for the mahadev Darshan. Recently on the last Monday of Shravan, they created 12 jyotirlings from ice. The temple premises shelters many animals like cows, ducks, rabbits, tortoise. There are also a lot of monkeys that sometimes visit the temple. Overall a very peaceful environment.

The "Shree Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple" is likely a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva are common in India, and they often hold significant religious and cultural importance. However, I don't have specific information about a temple with this name since there are numerous temples across India and beyond.

Here are some general features and information you might find at a Shiva temple like the Shree Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple:

1. **Deity:** The central deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, who is revered as the destroyer and transformer among the Hindu trinity of gods.

2. **Religious Significance:** Shiva temples are places of worship and devotion for followers of Hinduism. They often hold special religious ceremonies, pujas (rituals), and festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva.

3. **Architecture:** The architectural style and design of the temple can vary widely, depending on the region and local traditions. Some temples may have ornate and intricate carvings, while others may have a simpler design.

4. **Shiva Lingam:** Inside the temple, you will likely find a Shiva Lingam, which is a symbolic representation of Lord Shiva. Devotees offer prayers, flowers, and other offerings to the Shiva Lingam as a form of worship.

5. **Prayer and Meditation:** Visitors to Shiva temples often engage in prayer, meditation, and reflection. The peaceful atmosphere within the temple provides a conducive environment for spiritual practices.

6. **Festivals:** Shiva temples celebrate various festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva, with Maha Shivaratri being one of the most important and widely observed. During these festivals, devotees gather to offer prayers and participate in religious rituals.

7. **Community and Cultural Events:** Some Shiva temples also play a role in the local community by hosting cultural events, educational programs, and charitable activities.

It's worth noting that Shiva temples can be found in various parts of India and in other countries with Hindu communities. Each temple may have its unique traditions and practices, but they all share the common purpose of providing a place for worship, spiritual reflection, and cultural engagement for devotees of Lord Shiva.

Very holy and a decent place, has a small animal farm, can feed monkeys if you come early in the morning. Very peaceful as it is kind of away from the city rush. Evening aarti 7:00 pm on weekdays is really good to attend as they play instruments and takes 30 mins to complete.
