There is a lot about this temple.. people believe the worship here is worth life time of getting blessings from mahalakshmi. Situated in appsj locality of Mumbai, the temple has changed a lot over the years. The rush I this temple is too high makes the darshan taking lot of time.. However,it is well organised with volunteers. Everyone to visit and have blessings from Shree Mahalakshmi devi.

Shree Mahalakshmi temple is one such temple with a fulfilling and complete sense which one would feel once they enter the main temple premises.
Best time to reach the temple is to be there by 6 pm to have an experience of life time with the main Aarti.
Aarti here is the most beautiful and enlightening experience one will have in their life and feels like we’re getting closer what we want to achieve in our lives by losing all the unnecessary ties of life.
The temple is situated closer to the sea and situated amongst other constructions so might not feel very spacious and easy to reach.
You can find parking in the left lane of the signal instead of going and paying those cash mongers near the temple.
There is a lord Rama and Hanuman temple on the way to this temple, one can visit them and take theertham.
The temple is very easy to find through google maps and we need to walk around half a kilometer to reach the shrine.

Lets talk about the elegant temple which is situated in the ❤ hearts of Mumbai , the Mahalaxmi temple. & It's managed by the temple trust totally. So let's crack about the atmosphere the mandir is situated in a beautiful place becide the sea ⛵ . But the sad part is due to the construction of the coastal road project the sea is being covered by the granules and the mandir is totally covered . But the mandir is as good as it was . The darshan hardly takes 20 to 30 minutes approx in peak hours and weekends but it's quite empty all the time & you will get an amazing darshan .
Talking about the parking the temple has dedicated parking but it's quite inside . And if you are traveling by local then you have to deport mahalaxmi station and from there you can catch a taxi which will leave in front of the mandir and they charge around 15 rupees only so it's quite convenient .
And last but not the least lets talk about the shopping & food stalls out there so if you are coming here and offering some flowers and sweets to God then there are many stalls out there. And you can buy Devi murti also . And if you are hungry for some food or quick bites then there are many stalls which offer you a large variety of foods and it's quite reasonable to have a bite .. so enjoy your wonderful darshan 💓

Shree Mahalaxmi is the godess of luxury, money, wealth and prosperity. One can fulfill the wishes by praying Mahalaxmi Mantra.
During festivals like Navratri or Diwali this temple is overcrowded.
There is Ram Mandir also at the entrance. Mahalaxmi Temple was surrounded by sea but now encircled with construction of seaside roads.

Visited here with my family on Thursday during morning hours . We had a very good darshan at the mandir. There was no rush and the crowd was limited in number, so we didn't even have to wait even a minute. Storage spaces are provided for keeping shoes and chappals and toilets are available too.

Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Temple is a divine experience filled with tradition and spirituality. The narrow entrance leads you into a realm of devotion and faith. Separate queues for men and women respect cultural norms, fostering a serene atmosphere. Ascending the steps to reach the temple adds to the sense of reverence. Fridays witness a bustling crowd, enhancing the vibrant energy and fervor of this sacred place. A must-visit to immerse oneself in the cultural richness and spiritual ambiance.

The Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of India and is located in the heart of Mumbai city. It is a temple dedicated to goddess Mahalakshmi , being the central deity of devi mahatmiyam. The temple was built almost 2 centuries back by a merchant. Thousands of devotees visit this temple every day to seek blessings. During festival times, the crowd swells multiple times. One has to climb up some steps to reach the shrine. There are rest rooms available within the premises. Feel so blessed to have received darshan of the goddess.

* Mahalakshmi Temple consists of three Deities Shri Mahalakshmi, Shri Mahakali and Shri Mahasaraswati.

* The best time to visit Mahalakshmi temple would be in the month of winter, from October to March. During those months, Mumbai’s temperature is pleasant and you might also get a chance to attend the special Navratri aarti or Diwali celebrations.

* On a normal day, you can complete your visit to Mahalakshmi Temple complex in around 30 minutes. During rush hours you might need about an hour though.

* The timings to visit Mahalakshmi Temple Mumbai are between 6 AM to 10 PM. Entry is free and you can watch the aarti live as per the scheduled timings.

* Also, visit Mahalakshmi Temple early in the morning for a comfortable darshan, as the rush isn’t much.

* To reach here nearest railway station is Mahalaxmi.. Its hardly 20 minutes walk from Mahalkshmi Railway Station, or you can take kaali-peeli taxi it should take maximum 10 minutes , fare should be around maximum ₹60-65. Or you can take share cab also, they charge you Rs. 20 per person..

* This temple is located on the sea shore and now due to the road work, the sea is not visible.

* Mung bhajji is very famous dish here.. ( Rs. 40/- per plate ).

* One thing that impressed me that is the cleanliness of the temple. Despite the large number of visitors, the temple was spotless and free of litter.

* The atmosphere of inside the temple is serene and peaceful, you should visit this temple with your family...

With blessings of Mata Rani we got a chance to visit Mahalaxmi Mandir.

I am here in Mumbai since 6 months but never thought of Darshan.

Today my friend insisted to visit Mahalaxmi Mandir and we were ready to come inspite of the factor that train was not running.

Inspite of long queues, everyone was waiting for their turn with silence and patience.

It took almost 1 hour in Queue but darshan was too good.

Maa Rani ki kripa aise hi bahi rahe.

Jai Mata Di 🙏

A very different peaceful feeling here. Not too much crowd even when I went on Friday morning. You can get a nice sea view from behind the temple. Plenty small snacks shops outside in the walkway to enjoy after a peaceful darshan.
