Grandmama's Cafe, Kemps Corner

Grandmama's oven-baked chicken meatballs come highly recommended from my end. If you enjoy Italian flavors, this is probably the recipe for you.
I loved it. It was tasty and flavorful.
The chicken meatballs were wonderful and moist. It was thoroughly cooked and fresh. The quality of the food is good.
The packaging and branding were impressive.
This grandma's oven baked chicken meatballs is the ideal recipe for me, especially with some mozzarella cheese on top.
It gives me some lasagne Tatse. Next time, I'll order the oven-baked chicken meatballs with mac & cheese noodles. It will definitely be a terrific combination.

Recently we visited this one of the most loved brand of South Mumbai.

Had a glorious Wednesday relaxed evening within a cozy and beautiful ambience .

You have to try their following signature delicacies without any second thought whenever out here .

Trash Can Nachos:
Will rate this one quite high in one of the top 5 Nachos which are served in all over restaurants in Mumbai. The presentation, the taste , the mix match of flavours etc etc is top notch for this one .

Sizzling Bloom Bread:
A very unique style of serving our very favourite bloom Bread. The garlic punch with Goey sizzling cheese over it is just awesome .

Lasagna :
Full of layers of flavours in between the pasta sheets . A classic bake dish indeed at a classy place .

For Cocktails to go with above lips smacking dishes you have to go for their :

Bellini
All are authentic and comes to your table in a legendary manner. .

Ferrero Rocher Thick Shake and Goey Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Icecream are the desserts to die for under this roof.

Overall a fantabulous experience .

Staff is very enthusiastic and always will suggest the best of their servings. Ishant recommended some appetising and Chef Santosh personally came to ask our preference which is very sweet of them.
Highly recommended for all age groups but mainly aged couples. You can enjoy a peaceful ambiance with good healthy food

Starters
“BEIRUTI HUMMUS” – Lebanese version Hummus sprinkled with sumac & Za’atar served with homemade pita.
“MEXICAN BURGER” – Burger stocked with refried beans, habanero salsa, melted cheese and crispy nachos.
Very catchy range of cocktails;
“MIX MELON SANGRIA” – Melon balls dipped in wine based cocktail.
“STRAWBERRY MARTINI” – Vodka based cocktail mixed with strawberry juice.
“WHISKEY SOUR” - Whiskey on the crushed ice mixed with tonic water.
“ORANGE ROSO SANGRIA” – Brady based cocktail mixed with orange juice & dash of lemon.
Mains;
“CAESAR SALAD” – Classic salad of romaine & iceberg lettuce, caper berries, sun dried tomatoes, herb croutons & parmesan. It was very refreshing.
“AVOCADO TOAST” – Avocado sliced and placed on the top of salsa spreader toast.
Dessert;
“SALTED CARAMEL CHEESE CAKE” – Baked cheese cake topped with salted caramel spread.

Grandmama's Cafe offers a wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful kitchen accessories in granny style are hung on the wall, creating a lovely setting. The service is also quick.

Coming to the item we tried,

Funghi Pizza - Pizza with sauteed mushrooms, Parmesan, Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella, and truffle oil on a 10 inch crust is fantastic. really delicious and with cheese pull for the Instagram photo.

Grandmama Crusty Mac N Cheese - A dish you really must try. It was gratinated macaroni that was creamy and wonderful. Freshly baked and served in the skillet.
Trash can Nachos - This is just above average.
Green Thai Curry - Beautiful Burmese dish with steam rice and a nice rich coconut gravy with vegetables.
Hot Skillet Cherry Apple Pie - The night's show-stopper was this. Caramelized Apples, Cinnamon, and California Cherries in Crips Pie. served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a hot skillet.

Grandmama's Signature Hot Chocolate - The best is this. Dark, rich, sweet, and chocolaty

It's a wonderful cafe where you can unwind and savour some delicious meals and drinks.

The decor was very nice there are sofas to sit
on and also tables and the service is prompt
and has courteous staff.

We recently visited Grandma's cafe at their Kemp's corner outlet. It's just 7-8 mins walking from Grant Road station. The staff was very courteous & service by Mr. Nainish was quick & helped us in making our dinner memorable at GC. The music here is soft & interior is just so pretty. Their desserts looked good but we couldn't eat any as we were too full. Here's what we had....

DRINKS

1) Grandmama's Tody-
Tody is something we love having when down the weather. It is made with Brandy & different spices like cloves, dalchini, star anise etc. It was hot & one could immediately feel the difference in one's condition. Highly recommended.

2) Grandmama's mix melon Sangria-
This sangria was prepared by mixing both red wine & white wine with small balls of watermelon. It was strong enough to get you little high. Best paired with delicious Pizza.

3) Hot Chocolate-
One of the best hot chocolate in town & our personal favourite at Grandmama's. Unlike other hot chocolate it's not mixed with milk. Infact it's the pure melted chocolate. One just cannot miss on having this. Definitely recommended. The taste is still the same even after so many years & will be on our buds forever.

FOOD

1) Trash Can Nachos-
Wonderful presentation where one have to pull the can full of nachos & drizzle with cheese sauce on top.
The salsa was spicy & tasted delicious.

2) Rajma Chawal-
It was recommended by many so we decided to try it out. It's not available in Jain. Rajma was perfectly cooked & flavours was very well balanced. It was thick, creamy & delicious to taste. Paired with rice, papad & pickle. A must try.

3) Mac n Cheese-
Ordering this dish brought back our memories when Grandmama's was opened for the first time & we had their mac n cheese. Since then it has been our favourite. It was cheesy & scrumptious to taste.

4) Grandma's Special Pizza-
Thin Pizza base topped with different vegetables. It was good otherwise but the base was hard which led to difficulty in taking a bite.

Absolutely one of the best restaurant one can ever find in South mumbai, ambience 5 star, service/people are just one call away. They politely addressed to each query regarding food like spiciness, continental, Mexican nd authentic indian etc. food related. Food quality is just superb, even while eating it was as if they had got it right from the farm. I would recommend to try pasta and rajma chawal you will definitely enjoy it.

Grandmama Cafe

Back at my all time favourite cafe which has never failed to impress me everytime I visit them.
Every corner of this place is beautifully designed giving a very cute vibe to this place.
This Italian feel cafe is certainly a place u can’t miss, a casual coffee date or some soulful food for you, this is the place.

I relived my childhood memories by having Bubble gum ice cream soda and Goti Soda. It was a nostalgic moment for me.

And yes the food here is amazing, one must try sizzling bloom bread, a signature dish of Grandmama’s Cafe !!
I personally loved the Falafel Shawrma here. Trust me it was one of the good shawarmas I had since a while.
My all time favourite the Sundried Risotto , it always had my heart.
My husband tried their Funghi Pizza, a think crust pizza loaded with truffle and mushrooms, he just loves his pick. All the mushroom lovers you have to try this one here.

Sometimes you love a place so much that u must have visited a lot but never got a chance to write a review, well it’s same with me, hence I took this opportunity to write about my favourite cafe today. Grandmama’s Cafe
, you are amazing and keep up the same quality and service.
Thank you to Mr. Ishant who was my server for evening, he was really quick and responsive and best with his suggestions.

Overall a lovely experience

Nice and cozy homely vibes. Also not very expensive. The service was also quick though i went on a Saturday afternoon where the occupancy was less than 50%.
Ordered lava fries, Beiruti Hummus and a Mud cake with vanilla ice cream which was absolutely delicious.

Beautiful decor... Peaceful ambiance. Tasty bites. Good variety in dishes... mac and cheese, apple pie were really delicious... Just loved it.

Grandma's cafe is located in heart of south mumbai, gowalia tank and the ambience is beautiful, it surely gives you goan vibes. Beautifully decorated and lite music. They offer veg and non veg food and have few options for jain as well.

Interior decor of this place is FAB!!! The food is yum and tasty. The ambience was mesmerising. Great service. Mud cake was awesome. Loved it overall. Worth the money and would love to visit again ❤ Sudhanshu was absolutely corteous and had a great time there.

This outlet is so cute and quirky with absolute vintage theme. They have maintained the same theme at all their outlets and kemps corner one was also a good one. So on their anniversary special I had Trash Can Nachos. To my utter surprise the quantity was so good really stomach filling for one person. I loved their nachos and its ingredients too!! The salsa sauce was the best. The ingredients made the tortilla chips taste well.. true love. Must have this guys on your visit.

Was looking for a good cafe near Kemps Corner and finally visited Grandmama's Cafe.

Service & Staff - Staff is quite polite, Greeted as soon as we entered. Food was served quickly and the staff followed all instructions provided to make the customizations.

Ambience - Neat and Clean. Have different seating arrangements made. Comfortable seatings and good vibe altogether.

Food -
1. Masala Goti Soda - Refreshing, Sweet and Salty.

2. Blooming Cheese Garlic Bread - Had a freshly baked garlic bread topped with liquid cheese.

3. Chilli Cheese Toast - Basic Chilli Cheese Toast, Awesome.

4. Ferreo Rocher Shake - Quite thick and tasty. Had a very good taste and flavour.

Overall great experience. Would surely recommend.

Good food. Good service. The khow suey with the condiments was very good. Added lots of fried onions and garlic to the dish. Very nice, unique ambiance. Many dishes to try. Will take a while to go through over several visits. Chicken croquettes with the aioli sauce is recommended to try as well. They serve in unique plates / platters. Check out the pics posted. Also to try are their several ice teas and other selection of drinks.

Just Superb!! Went for lunch with my daughter. The interiors were fantastic! Service wise was prompt and with a smile. Food was lip-smacking. though portion size was a bit less as per prices! Nevertheless, don't regret at all.

Grandmama's cafe had been on my wishlist since quite sometime, because of their very pretty decor but also for their amazing food. A lot of my friends have recommended this place to me.

So when the opportunity arrived, I decided to visit this Kemp's Corner outlet on a Thursday evening. We were greeted with a warm smile and some hand sanitizer, and then guided to a table.

One thing that I noticed the moment I stepped foot inside was how pretty the decor felt and it definetly gives a warm feeling like your grandma is hugging you, as they claim. It's a very spacious place with a lot of tables and a really very pretty light green decor.

They have paper menu as well as online menu to avoid physical contact. The menu is extensive with a lot of options to choose from, right from english breakfast to proper desi food, they have a lot of good veg as well as non veg options.

The service was fast as well, we didn't have to wait much for our food and the staff really helped us guide through the menu.

So here's what I had-

JALAPENO MAC N CHEESE STICKS
So this was a classic dish, but instead of balls they served it in the shape of long sticks. It was basically a cruncy outer layer with a delicious mac and cheese stuffing souced with jalapeno. Served with a mayo based dip this was a really delicious starter for the day.

COOKIE AND OREO SHAKE
This was under their crazy shakes menu. It was a really pretty shake with just as delicious taste. Delicious and thick Oreo shake topped with vanilla and oreo frosting, whippe cream, decorated with Oreo biscuits and cookie crumbs and chocolate sticks. Believe me when I say this shake tastes as beautiful as it looks!

BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA
This was our choice from the pizza section. It was a 10" thun crust pizza that was topped with a delicious pizza sauce, BBQ sauce and chicken pieces. It felt a little bit sweet though because of the excessive bbq sauce but it was delicious nonetheless.

COOKIE DOUGH PUDDING
So this was their recommendation for dessert. It's basically a freshly baked cookie dough served with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Since it's freshly baked, it did take 20 minutes to be prepared but the wait is definitely worth it. The warm and gooey cookie dough along with the cold vanilla icecream is just perfect!

They have air conditioned indoor seating. They serve Veg-Nonveg food here like pizzas, garlic bread, falafel, waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers and much more. Some items are even available in Jain here.
Have visited two of its branches and the food as well as the presentation is just amazing. I’ve tried the pizzas, shake, nachos, risotto and pasta and all of them taste so delicious.

This place has a vintage decor. It really makes you feel as if you are sitting at your Grand Mother's house and getting pampered. Yes, getting pampered, staff is friendly and the food prepared is typical home style. A good place to visit with family and friends, preferred family.

This place is always close to my heart with too many good memories. Had been at Kemps corner outlet with my colleague. The ambiance is just amazing and super cozy. Ofcourse the place is huge and can accommodate a large group as well.

Coming to food we had the Granny's baked chicken meatballs which was the best a juicy taste and lovely presentation. Then we had the Butter garlic prawn which was again outstanding.

In mains we tried the Pizza from punjab it had tandoored chicken and a thin crust. We also had the Chicken Mac and cheese pasta which was best. They have a good option for drinks as well. We tried the country lemonade and salted caramel shake.

Both the drinks were good. Lastly we ended our meal with a dessert and had this beautiful hot Skillet cherry apple pie which was the best must try. Had a really great time here.
