Mumbai University located in Santacruz East also called as Kalina is very wast. There are different buildings for every field, for example there is a Department for Civics and Politics, University of Mumbai Institute of Distance and open learning building, there is University of Mumbai's Garware institute of career education and development, there is also a Jawaharlal Nehru Library, there is one Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan.

This is the old campus of the University, which is now used mainly for administrative purposes. Gothic architecture of the buildings in the campus is a sight to behold, especially in a landscape that is dotted with similar iconic structures and the famous Oval ground. In addition to the administrative office, it also has a huge library, convocation hall, large open spaces and a structure that defines the identity of this part of Mumbai - the Rajabai Tower. In addition to the architecture, the painted glass windows are a work of beauty that are not to be missed. Prior permission is mandatory to visit this place as a tourist, and best to do it as part of a tour group.

The university building hosts education department. Convocation hall is beautifully conserved, with sun windows on one side, the corners decorated with spiral stairs and timber arches and trusses. A must visit to this building if you are in Mumbai.

University of Mumbai is one of the finest educational institutions not only in Maharashtra but also in the entire country. Students from across the country come here to study at this great institute which is more than 150 years old. The structure of this building is Heritage Structure.

The very famous “Rajabai Tower” is located within the premises of the University of Mumbai. It stands at a height of 85 m (280 ft or 25 storeys). The tower is part of The Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble of Mumbai, which was added to the list of World Heritage Sites in 2018.

I studied LLM at the Department of Law which is situated on the first floor of this University Building. The security personnel are deployed round the clock for the security of this premises. The campus premises are well maintained and well managed. Absolute cleanliness is maintained. It also has a big reading room and library. The convocation hall of the University of Mumbai is worth visiting.
