Sulthan Non Veg Family Restaurant

Didn’t expect this much from this restaurant. All the items were top to the quality and taste. Must must try spot in madurai. And specifically its yannaikal area. Tried for three days and still cant forget the taste!
Costs are less comparing other restos and portions are apt according to the price but worth it every bit!

A great place for authentic biryani. They have maintained the same standard in taste. Parking may be quite difficult as the restaurant is located on a very busy traffic flowing road.

This is the best place to eat biriyani in Muslim style. The biriyani they serve are unique, the meat is halal, the meat is cooked well. The shop is known as a landmark here they are popular for their biriyani. They too serve Chinese, grill, fried rice on nights. I ordered mutton and chicken biriyani both was good and upto the mark. The flavour of the masala, the way rice was cooked was ultimate. The dalcha they give for biriyani is alike homemade.

Food was good, especially that nalli roast. Biryani was average not the best! Overall my tummy was satisfied.

Combination of kuthu parata and Kalakki with spicy gravy is ultimate.
But mutton Biriyani is not worth the price

Definitely one of the best Hotel to eat in தூங்காநகரம் with centralised AC,Biriyani was nice with mild masala.Parotta and the nalli chops are the best combo to eat and also with wide variety of side dishes.Highly recommendable

I tried this place with my friends for a get together. The food taste is amazing & flavorful . Especially Nalli biriyani , parotta and chicken fry. The staffs behavior is very good and friendly. They are suggesting food based on our expectations.

When in Madurai one can blindly trust this place for great food… Tried the much hyped Konar Kadai and Amma Mess and was left disappointed. That’s when someone suggested Sulthan. The restaurant is small with zero importance to ambiance but more than make up for it with awesome food and speedy service. Their biryani is a must try and so is their Kottu Paratha. Did I mention their prices are dirt cheap.
Personal experience, when in Madurai avoid all the hype and choose the smaller joints like Sulthan and Power Kadai and be prepared to be pleasantly impressed.
