A variety of jigarthanda is available, we tried special and mini jigarthanda which costs 40/- and 60/- respectively.

The taste is very unique and special. No other jigarthanda can match this taste.

Lots of space available for dining.

This review is completely based on my own experience.

What a taste, for 60Rs they are providing a wonderful dessert called "Jigarthanda". I'm trying this for the first time, so i really enjoyed the taste. Definitely try this if you are planning to go to Madurai.

They have a small vending shop at the junction, you can buy there and move to nearby siting space which is built a floor above .

The OG Jigarthanda shop in Madurai. We would witnessed many Jigarthanda shops with the same branding across TN, but this is the 1st shop and was originally opened in Madurai. You can easily find the difference in Taste and Quality of the Jigarthanda provided here. OG for a reason!

The best part is they give parcels to other cities also. Incase if you want to carry it to a longer distance, they pack them accordingly in an ice box for which they charge some additional fee. It can survive for 20-24 hrs inside the box.

Only con is the Parking. It is located in the most busiest junction, hence parking cars will be really next to impossible.

Otherwise, if you are someone who wants to try the original Madurai Jigarthanda, then this place serves the purpose.

Madurai Famous Jigarthanda stores are spread across Madurai but the best store is located near Vilakkuthoon, at a walkable distance from Thirumalai Naicker Mahal.
No other Jigarthanda store can match the taste found at this branch. This is the best in Madurai and locals vouch for it as well. Though there is no seating place, people throng here to get a glass of their favourite Jigarthanda.

It’s a must try drink when you’re in Madurai. It’s very refreshing and delicious. They have a spacious sitting area nearby to this shop also.

first i had their normal one which is 60 rs which comes with an icecream and a little of milk guva
This drink basically makes your body cool, hence a great drink to beat the heat in summers. Served chill with special dessert and icecream.

It’s a must try drink in Madurai. It tastes very delicious similar to Kerala’s palada payasam.Try to drink it from here, this is the original authentic shop. Very crowded place, no parking available.

When you are in Madurai, this is a must try! Famous Jigarthanda has many outlets in Madurai and also in various other cities in TN. But this is their original shop and this is the best! You need to stand in the road and enjoy this, but forget about the comfort.. just enjoy the taste.

Madurai famous Jigardhanda started here. Now it has so many branches inside Madurai but starting place has authenticity.. condenced milk by natural process with kulfi flavoured icecream adds taste to this. Mini Jigardhanda also avl for diet concerned people. 60 rs is special one. U have to stand n eat as this vilakuthoon jn is damn busy .

Whenever i visit maduarai i never miss to taste jigarthanda, one of the best and original place to in madurai. price is reasonable and there is a hall right beside the counter to have it peacefully. it's always crowded and it would be better to carry cash.

This is the original jigarthanda shop which originated in madurai. A must try drink. I couldn't explain the taste in words.

Fresh and Amazing Jigarthanda. Try the Special one It is Rs 60/- and tastes Heaven. Great value for money. Would highly recommend.

U can find other shops also where jigarthanda is served, but u cannot get this taste.

A popular “famous Jigarthanda” shop in Madurai. I heard this place serving the tastiest one in the town turn true. I tried in many other shops nothing matches these guys' taste. Highly recommended shop to taste the Jigarthanda.

Not sure if I am an expert to review Jigarthanda because I haven't tasted it before. But tried here and it was good. No complaints. They have two varities. Mini and spl. 40 and 60 rs respectively. The place is on the corner of a main junction and it is always crowded since this is the famous Jigarthanda place. They have a big hall next to the shop for people to sit and relish the dish. Overall a good experience. Felt that it got over soon :)

Authentic drink, love it with the ice cream, a bit crowded place but they have a big space next door to enjoy your drink with peace
