It’s beautiful and has a calming feel when you spend time there.
There is a metro station near to the temple.

A divine place of lord Murugan in Chennai City. We have good ambience of paintings and sculpture of recent times. Also lord Meenakshi is there in temple. Only issue is parking is not sufficient as it's crowded area. Nearest metro is best option for a peaceful parking.

The Vadapalani Andavar Murugan Temple has a beautiful deity of the lord and one would feel happy and satisfied having Darshan of swamy.The temple has sub shrines in the main premises.

I really love the temple basically its architecture. Inside it there is the temple of lord Ganesh, lord Shiva, and Lord Murugan. There is a special archana of 5rs. There is also a special queue of charge 50rs.

Very powerful temple. We can have a peaceful mind here.
Very neat and properly organised. Seperate place for hand wash and drinking water. Crowd management is good. There is a special place to sit for older people.
Many marriage is done at a time with proper arrangements.
There is a big fan never seen like that before.

We went on Tuesday mid morning, bought special entrance ticket. Even so, since mid morning puja was ongoing, we had to wait for an hour for nadai to open and have Darshan of Lord Muruga. Muruga was adorned in sandalwood paste and the moment we saw him, all are waiting pain in the queue vanished.

Since we went during Navratri, kolu was taking place. Excellent feast for eyes, lovely display of idols, highlights were replicas of Arupadai Veedu Muruga idols and many forms of Goddess Lakshmi kept around the kolu. When enquired, priest said we can donate dolls for kolu, but it won't be returned. Many Krishna idols were present, also many Dasavatar sets, also seperate steps setup for fabric kolu dolls.

Such a wonderful temple. Well maintained and was so neat. Free dharshanam is there and paid dharshanam will be 50/ head. Children free of cost.
Car parking is bit tricky on peak hours outside temple. Such a positive place!🤍

The temple was very good.... Well maintained... When u go to visit the temple, just check out the temple opening time... It from 5:30am -12pm and 4-9pm

Most popular and spiritual place in Chennai..
easy to reach via bus or metro. The chappal stand is self service and after the Kumbhabhishekam they have renowned most of the structure and it's looking well organised now and the crowded management also is good. Visit on the weekdays to avoid crowds and parking can be done on streets nearby and the other options would be the vadapalni metro.. you can get priority pass by paying 100Rs.

It's an epitome of South Indian culture, they worship lord Muruga. I just astonished by the beauty of this temple..... There's lot of flower vendors surrounding the temple, we can safely keep the chappals with free of cost . People are very kind and good , lot of parking space is there . Transportation is pretty easy it's very close to Vadaplani metro station. Overall there is good experience and nice atmosphere.

For the first time, I visited this temple. So I wasn't aware of the crowd; I waited in the queue for almost an hour to get the darshana. There is a facility available to get the darshana by buying a ticket worth 50 rupees. But I won't recommend this to anyone because, even after buying the ticket, you have to stand in line to get the darshana. The only benefit is that the queue will be inside the temple. So there is no need to stand under the hot sun.

And another good thing is that, for senior citizens, there will be a different queue inside the temple. Sometimes you need to show the document to prove your senior citizenship. Prasadam will be available outside the temple, and you can enjoy the lake view nearby, situated on the right side of the temple.

A stunning temple with a long history that is centrally located in Chennai. The Vadapalani Andavar Murugan Temple features a stunning representation of the Lord, and receiving Darshan from him would make one feel content and joyful. Within the main grounds of the temple are sub-shrine🦚🦚.

Famous Murugan Temple in Vadapalani Chennai and the atmosphere is very good. I prefer go to the temple in evening.

Visited on a weekday at around 10.30am.
Crowd is was below par but quite a number of PPL turned since it was public holiday.
4 wheeler has a separate parking, 2 wheeler parking is limited and free ,so parked in front of main entrance.
Apparently you can enter temples through 4 entrance/exit.
Besides Murugan , other deities - Shiva/Ganesh/Hanuman etc are also present.
When we went there was no archana ticket or paid counters.
Lord Murugan looks exquisite 😇
Do take time out to visit this place with family/friends.
