Mild to moderate difficult trek but snow made it challenging to climb but the view from the top is Beautiful 😀
March is a great season as snow starts melting and the path is open for trekking!

Gorson Bugyal in Auli offers a spellbinding experience with its distinctive sunrise and sunset over snow-capped mountains. The trek unveils a picturesque track, transitioning from lush greenery to panoramic views. The sunrise paints the peaks in hues of pink and gold, while the sunset bids farewell with a warm, mesmerizing glow. Gorson Bugyal is a symphony of nature, blending serene meadows with majestic snow-capped peaks, creating an unforgettable retreat into untouched beauty.

(We went on Christmas, so snow was till ankle)

Best time to visit, after Christmas to Feb, ( Snow can get as much as till knees) traffic was high so reach as early as possible to avoid queues and rush while returning.

Things to brings, snacks/shops are available still you can bring your own

Trekking, 2 hour long moderate difficulty trekking, bring your own trekking gear, however for snow activities, you will be provided required equipments.

If you do not want to trek to reach at top, use rope way, (up/down included) rate ~500/person, (rope way timings are strict and need to follow, you would get ~4 hours up there before you need to return) then ride mule (up/down included, 30 min each way) to reach top, rates depends on traffic.

As sun ☀ goes down and windy weather, cold will increase exponentially, bring warm clothes and do preparations accordingly.

Spellbound by this place. The views here are unbelievable. It's an underrated destination as of now. Visit here before it gets crowded with tourist traffic. Must visit if you are travelling in Uttrakhand. You get the Swiss Alps experience right here in India. You can either trek or take a horse ride. It's a pretty long trek to the best spot.

Amazing scenic place. Surrounded by lush green forests, good snowfall. Great for Treks, Skiing and enjoying a good maggi! Truly captures the beauty of Himalayas. Local horses are available after Auli Chair lift for a ride uphill if you don't want to walk.

We were told that most people walk up and down in about 4 hours flat and that it was a pleasant walk through slightly undulating highlands.
Keeping our heart conditions in mind we preferred to take the ponies for some 1200/pony for a total of half an hours stay up there. The path up was very pleasant and through some of the loveliest jungles, we had occasion to be in. On reaching the top there was nothing but there was everything. Complete tranquility, pure air and picture-postcard perfect locales.
The army jawans returning form a trek somewhere behind the next hill added to the mystique of the place.
Stayed there for around 45 of the loveliest minutes of our life.
Don't forget to take everything you could ever want with you, including water bottles, eatables if you want them and anything else you could want because there are no shops or even stalls after you leave the base point of the trek.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.
You can either take a mule to go top or trek till there. It's around 3-4km on one side. There's a ropeway which goes to the top till terminal station, it's around 2-2.5km from there. There are various snow activities you can do, like skiing, snow tubing etc. It costs around ₹500 for the combo.

It’s just wow. So so beautiful and serene.
Never felt so peaceful, as much while being here. There is a small village that you can see once you reach the top. You also see a few varieties of flowers. And there is a temple on the trek to Gorson Bugyal. It’s an easy trek, with a beautiful view of mountains and the forest.

Beautiful high altitude meadow about 2.5 kms trek from Auli. One passes through oak forest to reach here. You can either trek or horse ride to this place whi charge around Rs. 1000/- to and fro ride. One can bargain. Nanda Devi and other adjoining himalayan peaks are clearly visible if weather is not cloudy. A must visit place.

Gorson Bugyal Trek A short trek but very spectacular, it starts from Bugyal Auli and is spread over about 5 kms. In this trek, small lakes and beautiful forests spread all around.

Very good place to visit during winters, very close to nature and not very much commercialised yet. You can enjoy few activities like skiing, trekking, frozen lakes, etc.

Great experience. It is a trek of around 2-3 kms one way, took us about 2 hours on going up and 30 minutes going down. This is a very beginner friendly trek. Although this was our first trek and it was a bit tiring, but was totally worth giving full effort on the trek. Take water and any type of liquids and solid snacks from tower no 10.
Take a guide for trekking, it cost us rs 1500 for the guide and we were provided a stick as well. Max altitude we reached upto 10,700 ft. Don't burden yourself with unnecessary items as it will slow you down.

Gets filled with so many tourists, try visiting on weekdays and try to hike a littel ahead for extraordinary views and snow experience. View of mighty nanda Devi is best experienced here along with other mountains of greater Himalayas.
