Devangan Homestay is located very beautifully. It is secluded , quite and well maintained place. Neat and clean. Service is good. Owner of the place Mr. Narendra Rana is a knowledgeable thorough gentleman. We are definitely coming again soon.

Situated amonst breathtaking mountains, the lodge is the perfect place to connect with nature's serene beauty. You can go for a hike in the mountains or sit by the Ganga when you come here.
The host and other staff are extremely welcoming, joyful and their willingness to go out of their way to make us feel at home is remarkable.

I recently visited Lata village through my college for research, and stayed at this beautiful place.
It is owned by Mr Narendra and he ensured that we have the most comfortable and fun stay. He was always available to solve any problems and shared amazing stories and incidents with us.
The rooms are well equipped with all the facilities and are quiet spacious.
The best part was definitely the Chai (Tea) and the scrumptious food they served us.
The location too is excellent as it is located in the midst of nature with breathtaking views.

I wanted to explore Nanda Devi National Park region and decided to stay at this property for 2 nights. I was on a solo bike ride and was concerned about safety of my bike.

Narendra Bhaiyya assured me about the bike safety and also explained me the facilities and tariff. I booked my stay at Shepherd’s Lodge.

The property is near Lata Village and fully accessible by road. It’s surrounded by huge mountains on either sides and the Dhauliganga river flows through the valley on one side. Parking is available at the property.

My room was kept ready and was neat and clean. Linens were fresh.

Stay was inclusive of food, from breakfast to dinner. Food served was fresh and tasty.

Narendra bhaiyya is an ex-instructor from Nehru Mountaineering School and I had a great time talking with him about the treks and places around the region. He and his team are very nice people and very helpful. I had a great time with them.

Overall, I’m happy with the experience at Shepherd’s Lodge and would definitely recommend to others. I would visit again next time when I plan my treks in nanda Devi Park.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the world and I travel a lot. Room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. 😍🥰

Nice, secluded location. The campus is really huge on the valley floor dominated by huge and vertical mountains. Watched group of Himalayan Thar grazing across the river slopes. Food was home made, simple but delicious. Highly recommended for off road travelers who can survive without TV and connectivity. Parking Yes, Trails lots

Isolated, yet not far from luxurious facilities, staff is local, from the Bhotiya community, and very friendly, humble. The food, made from basic ingredients available in the area, never fails to impress. The rooms were sufficiently furnished, and clean, looking out to the Dhauli Ganga that flows by. The host, Mr. Narendra Rana, himself accompanied me on a very peaceful, captivating trip to Lata Kharak in the pristine Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.
So yeah, this place calls out to travellers seeking a form of soltitude and peace while getting one of the best, comfortable stays in the region, not for party-hungry people.

Actually we reached late in the evening and were totally confused as it was all dark and scary once we left Tapovan. We called the manager couple of times asking how far we have to drive. Anyways the reception was warm and we were too tired to explore except the roaring sound of river which was not assuring at all. The morning views changed everything . It's just lovely, you are so close to the elements of nature. As advised, we hiked to summer Lata Village. Never saw so many smiling people in my life. Good place, don't expect luxuries. Totally safe for families.

Must say staying here was one of my best experiences. Especially, Narender ji, the owner of the place , did a fab job. Big thumbs up.

Nice, located in a remote but beautiful location. We went up to the last village of Niti. Food is home made, limited options but excellent. Best for nature lovers, families with children as there is lot of open space.

Totally isolated place located at a beautiful location. No TV, but good views and excellent food. Rooms are basic with clean wc, best for urban tribes travelling with kids

Beautiful place to spend your time and make memories beneath the huge mountains. This place is perfectly located and well maintained which gives inner peace to your soul. Narendra Rana ji and other staff are efficient at their work and will leave you in complete awe for their fantastic service. Definitely a must visit place in Lata, Uttarakhand.

Great location on River bank.... Beutiful & peaceful environment mountains....good facilities.... cooperative staff..... good management.... Food was good.....too much cold at night.... it's our 1st camping site for Kauri pass trek....great experience
