I would want to give 4 star for room but the only reason i would give 3 is, if you are travelling with kids or old people, then rooms are not comfortable or that insulated. Its just a very basic village hut, with very basic amenities. However, if you are looking for a connection with nature its the best you can get. What they cant deliver in comfort, they definitely make up with their hospitality and food. Best place to connect with nature.

The secenery from hilley is mesmerizing.In the morning when the dawn arrives, the breathtaking view of the sky covered with clouds will blow the mind away(i have attached a photo) Besides there are also some rooms available for the tourists and a small hus is there when you will get your food requirement.Bathrooms are clean and tidy, electricity and water is available 24×7.
Nearby the Rhododendron Sanctuary is there which gives a ecstatic view to watch a variety of birds and different animals.
Cars are available from this place upto New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri

It's a beautiful place for refreshing ur daily life.. just stay there for one or two days.

A most blissful & serene, small village located in Singalila National park, West Sikkim. It is one of the gateway for Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary & Hilley – Barsey Jungle trek. From Okhrey its a 10km drive through a good motorable but curvy road in the midst of pure nature. The scenic beauty is exceptionally good

A must visit place for avid hikers and trekkers. Must be wary of the limited number of hotels and home stays. Water scarcity is serious. One must make reservations before visiting. Enjoy the rhododendron trail trek with or without a guide, its beautiful. Best time is late April to mid March. Carry enough warm clothes and basic necessary items as there are no shops where you can buy these things.

Beautiful place. kanchenjunga view is so clear from this location. Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary present here. Barsey trek is short unique nature hike inside Rhododendron Sanctuary.

Natures' Paradise. Cold serene n 180 degree Himalaya infront of u! 'The place' for bird watchers! U can find birds like Brown Parrot Billed, Hill Patridge, Spotted Laughing Thrush n many more. Also the Gateway to Bursey Rhododendron Sanctuaryfor small trek of 4.5 km .This area is maintained by forest dept. So expect minimal luxury. Bursey Trekker' Hut has some basic amenities to stay overnight. Pradip n Raj Nembang(of Bursey Residency; Okhrey) will help u in every possibilities.

Dont go to Hilley-Bursey if u search for luxury or something grand . But if u love nature, birds, Flower n eternal serenity this is the place for u. Raj's words are still ligering in my ears- u can make a Buddha Park, Char Dham or even a Taj Mahal but never can creat a Hilley or Bursey Rhododendron Sanctuary!

It is scenic ,it is serene..If u are looking for a quiet place in the hills to chill, then this is it...Nice and comfortable stay...Relaxed trekking route to versey...Still hidden from popular tourist onslaught...Can enjoy a chilly walk on the tarmac roads all by yourself...Good spot to catch sunrise...Lovely glimpse of snow capped mountains at the back drop ,"Mount Pandim"... Heater and geyser available at the stay...Per day Rs 1000/- including tea, snacks, breakfast,lunch and dinner...Carry essentials from sombarey /jorthang as there is no shop around...Must go for soul searchers

Hilley is situated between Okhrey and Varsey. Here you can easily find rhododendrons which blossoms in March and April every year. Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary begins from here.

Hilley is a quaint village. This is starting point of trek to BARSEY RHODODENRON SANCTUARY. hilley is at an altitude of approx 9000 ft. Woolens are required. Mobile phone network is unreliable. Structured Hotel services are not available. Best places to stay are Home-stays. Or one can stay at Okrey and visit Hillay early morning & take the Barsey trek.

Hilley is an offbeat destination of West Sikkim...... It's a perfect place for Nature lovers and bird lovers

That is point for starting varsay visit. A restaurant cum rest place and cottage available here. Nice and wonderful site seen. Love this area..
