My interview is on 18.12.2023 (today), and I went for FRV. I wasn't aware of taking DD for my visa payment. Everyone was saying that I would reschedule. I wasn't sure until I entered since I was the first person at 8.00-8.15.
Thankfully, this was sorted out since my spouse is german. I wouldn't need to pay anything, so there wasn't need of DD. BUT if you are going there for FRV as Indian-Indian. You MUST have a DD, or else you have to reschedule your appointment.
To avoid this, please bring the listed documents.
They have their own checklist and will ask you to arrange the documents in order. There, you will be provided with necessary things like glue and paperclips.
Once I rearranged, I submitted it and was asked normal questions. In the end, she asked me to come with my passport once I get an email from them to get stamp.
They were friendly, you can communicate with them in English, Tamil, and German.

Actually we were concerned a lot after reviewing feedback, but, the actual circumstances differ from the portrayed perception. It was quite a pleasant experience.
Security guard whom everybody mentioned was there but they are only for appointment checks, we don't even have to communicate with her. For us, interview was also in a smooth manner since we had all documents prepared beforehand.
There's no waiting place outside and the applicant alone is allowed inside consulate only 15 mins before. Document verification, interview everything done during appointment timing.
Parking can be done nearby Street's road.

I was treated like a beggar by the security office lady. She talked to me from the locked glass door and hence I have to talk to her in a loud voice and she said that I am shouting at her. There is ZERO response. I must write to the External Affairs Ministry regarding this zero response . It just happend today at 1.20 pm on 12.04.2023

My views:

1) Few benches are there outside the consulate where one can wait
2) Bring umbrella if you suspect raining as there is no shed outside.
3) The guards will announce time slot upon which you have to enter.You can carry mobile which you can put in locker, bags are not allowed inside.
4) Polite guards would check appointment letter and passport
5) Waiting room is decent, a person would Call your name and help you arrange your documents, he is extremely helpful
6) he then provide a token number
7) there are two counters, your token number would be displayed on one of them
8) the lady at counter 2 was very cooperative and helpful, for me she took a photocopy of passport back page which I forgot to take.
9) all done

You need to be on time. Better check all your documents. Especially demand draft amount and insurance document. Without their consulate portal for demand draft charge. I had to rebook my appointment due to few change and I didn’t notice in their portal. Officers 👮‍♂ 👮‍♀ are very helpful. I was asked to send the 6 months insurance by email. They are very punctual and better be prepared for that. All the very best for your interview!

Staffs are good and helping but reaching them with appointment is difficult..make sure you have all right documents

Supportive staff. Booked appointment at 08:00 AM and it was very quiet there. Applied employment national visa on 13th Jan, 2020 and received approval email from them on 27th Jan, 2020. Since, I am a resident of Hyderabad therefore they didn't retain my passport with the visa application and then in the confirmation mail, they mentioned some steps to submit my passport, basically via VFS route along with some additional documents. After submitting passport at VFS, I received back my stamped passport in six days.

This Is My Experience, First Thing Foremost, Never Be Late For Your Appointment, Follow The Guidelines, All The Required Information Is On Consulate Website And Even On The Notice Board Outside The Embassy, The Process Is Simple And Straight Forward. The Visa Officers Are Helpful, I Had One Of My Experience Document Missing Which I Forgot To Take Along, She Allowed Me To Send It Later Through Email. All The Best And Good Luck Everyone.

Super supportive team. Few suggestions i would like to add for applicants
1.please consider to go to embassy with DD as they are not accepting cash for Indian applicants.
2.please be there by 1 hr in advance of your timeslot of appointment.
3. Jurisdiction is important as i have seen 2-3 application has been sent back because of wrong jurisdiction.

Completed my employment visa interview at chennai on 10th December 2019 at around 9 am. VISA was granted after checking all the documents, VO asked to submit travel insurance for 6 months before 12 pm the same day and retained my passport for stamping. It should be ready for collection in few days.

Honestly, I was given full attention by all consulate people. They are just doing job as per German government requirement. Also, I experienced proper guidance from VO. They are clear and precise with each applicant. Best wishes.
