The temple is located in Chilkigarh, Jhargram. King Gopinath has built the temple which is estimated to be more then 500 years old. The century-old temple is located in the forest beside a small charming river named Dulung. Several rare species of trees, birds and monkeys can be seen here. There is a small children's play park in front of the temple,The river in front of the temple is small but very beautiful and pleasant,Really very beautiful environment, the surrounding environment is also rural and beautiful,Once you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will feel better.

This is an ancient temple which is located in Chilkigarh, Jhargram. Although there has been a lot of renovation and the old temple heritage has almost been lost. Still this is a very divine and must visit temple in Jhargram. One has to go through a nice corridor of greenary to reach the temple. Also a word of caution to devotees about the gang of monkeys there who are ready to snatch the prasad and other food items.

In the middle of Nature and Wood this is a must visiti place for history Lover, The Kanak Durga Temple in the Bank of River Dulung is such an memerising place to be. It is kind of way from locality.
If you wanna go here like from Howrah or Kolkata then take train from howrah to Jharagram and then it is around 15km from the railway station or You can go buy car via NH6.

Nice place for an outing. You can offer puja here in a very beautiful pleasant environment. It is a temple of Goddess Durga. The temple was built by the king of Chilka Gara in ancient times. Dulung river flows by the side of the temple. The worship of the temple worshipers is very beautiful. You will be mesmerized by the worship of the worshipers

According to folklore, the temple of Kanakdurga in Chilkigarh is about 500 years old. Once upon a time there was humanity. But still a buffalo or a goat is sacrificed according to a special custom. On the four days of Puja, Kanakdurga is served with duck eggs, fried fish, fried vegetables, panta rice. Even today, a patha sacri is offered in front of the patkuyo in the temple on Ashtami night. That sacrifice takes place on Nishi night Before the Navami feast, the meat of the sacrifice is boiled in a new clay pot and kept in the resting room of the palace.

Age old temple of Goddess Durga in the midst of a sacred grove which considered largest in West Bengal. The temple is at least 500 years or more in age. Kanak means gold and the idol is made of gold and is very popular was worshipped by royal family (Raja) of Jhargram Chilkigarh. This place is home great variety of plants and in true sense is a center of conservation. Dulung river flows at its bank. Full of langurs, be careful while taking food or prasad here.

Visit to Kanak Durga Temple gives a thrilling experience of natural beauty. It is about 14 km away from Jhargram town. The century-old temple is located in the forest beside a small charming river named Dulung. Several rare species of trees, birds and monkeys can be seen here. There’s a spot called Kendua on the way to Kanak Durga. Migratory birds visit the area in winter. A half an hour visit through the dense forest gives a charming experience.
