Regal Cinema

Regal cinema is one of the most famous landmarks in Mumbai. It is located in the Fort area close to Colaba causeway. It is an Art Deco, (a decorative art which got its name due to French terminology). It started in the year 1933. It is the first Air conditioned Theatre in India, according to the Limca book of world records. Lauren and Hardy a famous comedy genre movie was first played here.

My overall impression was satisfactory. The cleanliness of the venue was good, although the evident aging of the establishment was a noticeable aspect. The seating arrangements were basic, and the screen size, unfortunately, leaned towards the smaller side, which may not cater to those seeking a more immersive cinematic experience.

Royal rich feel while you enter in this old classic Theatre. But ticket prices are surprisingly affordable for such a luxury.

Amazing theatre, made on a art deco style architecture you can notice every details inside aslo it only has 2 screens so don't expect a lot of movies to be played in their ticket prices and snacks are very affordable popcorn small is 100 and large is 200 mrp products are just charged ₹10 extra. Seats are a litte old style but space is huge sound is awesome tbh very satisfied with my visit

Affordable place to watch movies while having a tub of popcorn. New seats are comfortable. The screen and sound system is also good. Only one screen is there in the cinema. One of the oldest theater of Mumbai and is still well maintained.

Old time cinema, it is grand and have such array of staircases. Unlike new one's it still has that balcony to watch the movie.

Very good theater in great price. Popcorns are also very cheap. Just take cash they don't accept upi or card for Popcorns

This theatre gives you a classic feel, and it's very huge and have large seating capacity with decent screen, af good sound quality. It's my favourite place during my college time. If you would like to have a classic feel the. This regal theatre is the best.

I would advice - stand early in the queue which starts from the left side, so that you get place in the first row inside the theatre. It is first come first seating (no seat numbers assigned).

The hall is very wide the seats are very compact though there are barely much space to move around. It is huge enough to seat a lot of people I am not sure about how many so you can check in with them in case you want to know. Overall one can have a great time.

Great Cinema Hall. Dress Circle or Balcony is the best place.

Food and drinks are reasonably priced to enjoy the show.

Rowdy elements in stall must be controlled by the theatre.

Quite an old cinema. Gives u a very nostalgic feel, especially the cinemas/theaters of 90s types, where u had the stall (lower floor) and balcony (upper floor). N the seats 💺 also very close to each other (the neighbors hands almost lie onto urs). Even the samosa n popcorn 🍿 r relatively cheaper than the inox n pvr, but the quality is still the same. The screen n sound is well maintained (no compromise there). Overall it was quite a wonderful experience n I enjoyed it thoroughly!!
